after about 5+ years of calm earth, we finally got a moderate earthquake this morning of 5.6 magnitude. shortly after, a magnitude 3.2 aftershock followed. no major damage or casualties. earthquakes are always fun rides tho. who felt it? im about 10 miles south of downtown los angeles. its funny, i was watching the kingdom and right as the credits started to roll the quake started. intense movie, followed by a fairly decent quake..... exciting morning so far =)

When was it? Just now?

See, when I read the title I thought it meant a combined earthquake + drought.
Good for you, I guess?

we so cal folks live in fear of "the big one" after a few years of quiet soil. a moderate quake here and there keeps us sane, as the longer we go without a quake the higher the probability of a high magnitude 6+ quake increases. the last major one, the northridge quake about 10 years ago, killed like 70 ppl and caused 10s of millions of dollars in damage.

5.8 but yea my sisters desk at work was covered in glass she thought it was awesome

apparently the epicenter was in the chino hills area. Which is why my sister in anaheim felt it pretty good. Glad to hear you are ok as well artie get on vent tho and lets go meriting >.>

I was (am) at work when it happened and didnt even realize it til my co worker came running out of his office like there was a bat or the biggest spider ever in there the I felt the gentle rolling motion.
I personally want a bigger one just so we dont have to worry about it anymore.
