Crafting event equips doesn't seem that terrible, especially since getting to rank 20 isn't as big a pain anymore.

To be honest, I find it's less hassle than some of the XI events which I enjoyed. I'm looking forward to my hat and coat. Also, the items are listed as 11-20, so it's probably not 20, although possible. And you can craft a good 4 or 5 levels below your level with moderate risk with crafting gear as well. I'll help too if I can, I'm 16 weaver now, and based on what I just said I'd wager I can do the synth as well if you need help.
