The Starlight Celebration is nearly here! (12/14/2007)

I hated this event when I first read about it, even considered not doing it until I found out there was special furniture as rewards (I'm a sucker for event furniture.)

I was lucky enough to get the Dream Boots +1 after my third card exchange, so that only took me probably 20 minutes. :P Now, after doing this for a few hours today, I have everything I want, except for a Dream Hat +1. Got the three furniture pieces, the Dream Robe +1, Dream Boots +1, and, well, the two cuter costume belts (Mandy and Rabbit).

Hoping to get the hat soon, but the last time I was sent off to find a Female Hume Corsair 38+. :P While not as bad as a Galka Scholar 38+, or, say, a Tarutaru Warrior 38+, it's still pretty bad, apparently hume females don't play Corsair much. >.>

Should have been reset by now though, so I'll see if I have better luck this next time. Y'know, like find a Hume Male level 1-37 Warrior or something. :P
 
If I recall right, you get the +1 hat from having the tree of your nation up in your moghouse and waiting until after Midnight JST. To better your chances, do not put up the sock/platter/coffer as well.

Teruko... if you can ever find that character ingame, has a lvl 75 corsair and a female hume :p

I tried the event for a couple or few hours tonight on both my characters, got dream hat +1 on other char, but not on my main, and got boots and boots +1 on my main character.

Although right now my other char needs to look for a mithra sch lvl 38+..
 
For those that cannot get a Dream Hat +1, I think the following steps needs to be taken:

(I think this is how you get it after a LS member complained that he cannot get the hat despite getting every other item BUT the hat. I could be wrong.)

1. This happened to me when I completed the event and gotten all the items, and decided to transfer all 4 Dream items (Hat, HQ hat, robe, HQ robe)
2. Buy a Xmas Tree, preferably related to your nation (I had a Bastok one from last year, which has already been sitting in my Moghouse all year long)
3. Place in Mog House, and wait.
4. Moogle will say he has found a gift/present left under there for you after a period of (unconfirmed) time.
5. Obtain "Special Present"
6. Stand outside and use present. Obtain Dream Hat +1

NOTE: I now accidentally have 2 HQ Dream Hats. 1 with NPC storage, the other on me right now. I will probably throw it away after I finish it using it as a head piece for soloing low level jobs (pre10).

Has anyone gotten the hat via finding a match?
 
In case anyone forgot from last year - just a reminder that if you're wearing the Dream gear when you call your NPC (at the Rendevous Point or with the Signal Pearl), they'll pop wearing the gear as well.
