The Ultimate in BRD fussiness.

Hey Khidir

The truth is that compared to the big hitters, BLU can't compare really. BLU is a great job in certain situations but as a DD in a merit party they will on average be way behind on damage %... If I'm in a merit pt with top notch war / nin / mnk / drg combinations I know a lot of dmg will be dealt. Personally I prefer NIN, WAR, WAR as the dd but that's my biased opinion^^

In a normal cannon type setup, your right, blu will fall way behind. However, with blu x4, rdm, and brd. I've been in pt's that make 20k/hr easy. Just have to have full time ballad x2, and refresh.

Also...this guy saying he doesn't want drk's, makes absolutely no sense. When I never lose parse to a war (cept ridill wars).

I seriously hope this bard is is above the average, because when I seek on monk they suck 90% of the time, can't even pull without linking, can't sleep shit. Also getting war and monk only in the party is not necessarely resulting in good xp 50% of the time because people can't play their fucking job. I mean I had dual lol-brd parties where people couldn't go past chain 10, and single bard parties on pup with war sam nin keeping chains constantly on mamoolja ..

Agree.

By the way, hanzokoro is not a good bard.

Lmao this shits too funny but hey if thats how he wants to play the game, so be it =/

That's understandable to me since I often notice that I need some sort of refresh to go "all out" in a pt, where as without it pre refresh-50 I used cookies + signet resting and still put out respectable numbers. Not saying that a blue needs refresh to have good damage but the amount of mp you can use without refresh vs having it is a large difference(duh but I have to cover my bases here)

It's just the nature of the job I suppose since if it didn't rely on mp for damage well it'd easier to keep up

ghey ghey and more ghey. IDK why people can be so leetist about this crap. Now I know what most are going to say "Its his game, he plays how he wants. He doesnt want to waste time, blah blah blah" OK remember that next time you are searching for a SMN or BLM to get a mission done and cant find any because they cant get 'cannon party' invites. There has to be a balance somewhere

I think its exceedingly stupid cause its a self-serving point of view. he's not looking to maximize the parties exp, he's looking to maximize his exp and no one else. IF said party got the chains he was looking for, with his mindset, the only thing that matters is him getting what he wants.

Now should said party have a mistake, or someone have to leave, or anything of that nature happen and a replacement off his list is the only things available, i could likely guess said self-serving bard will throw a bitchfit if he cant get the party setup he thinks should be his right (cause he's a bard). This would likely add up to him leaving the party, and in the process, possibly shafting the remaining members.

when i think of maximizing EXP i think of getting the highest amount of exp you can with the group you were able to assemble. Its no secret some setups to better then others. But any smart person know full well its the player, not the job, that counts. it doesn't matter if he gets his ideal setup if all of them don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. And while this selfish fool sits in whitegate waiting for his picture perfect setup, others are out in the field getting the exp they want.

I could care less if this fool was the greatest bard on the whole game. his attitude alone would ruin my time in the exp party, which is focused on having fun foremost.

*add-on*

i just noticed 3 of my 75 jobs are not on his list.

Meh.. I don't see anything wrong, nor surprising about that seacom. For those that do, it's most likely because they're on that list. <shrugs> I'd honestly say most people that merit at high output have their own cookie cutter set up that works for them. Those that are on that list are generally a lil bit more flexible with their set ups. Truth is, when leveling white mage I often didn't seek, but I did often except invites when not seeking if I liked the set up-- certain jobs usually lead to a no.. because I knew another invite was not too far off and they usually were jobs that made my job harder, i.e. paladin over ninja. If any of you complaining have ever turned down an invite due to the set up are no better than the OP's rant.

The arguement on a replacement is pretty weak, it's generally proven that a party in its prime is with its innitial starting set up.. and replacements weaken the party over time. This is not to say that replacements are not always bad-- but usually at later levels I hate replacing someone mid-session.

The argument on not inviting BLMs or SMNs is also pretty weak. Generally the most valuable jobs in events are not the ones saught after in merits. This includes PLDs. Majority of BLMs prefer to manaburn anyway, and as for myself.. I would rather gauge my eyes out than put my SMN in a merit party over another job and I never have an issue with it's EXP.

In short, to clear the air of my post, there are jobs on that list I would exp with-- but not all of them are ones I'd prefer over a riddel war or a bb mnk. Most of you would agree.

how on earth did i lvl red mage during the gays i had to beat invites off with is stick and not become a arrogant "i only exp with these jobs" player? the world will never know.

my argument about replacements isn't about parties in general, it's about the bard himself. i could easily get into one of his groups, but i'd rather not cause people like him suck the fun out of exp parties like a Hoover vacuum cleaner. people like him don't enjoy exp parties. they view it as a bothersome annoyance and they want the cookie cutter setups so the experience is as bearable as possible them. which is what really matters to our /seacom bard, getting what he wants. i rather party with a decent setup of jobs then with some killjoy that uses his/her job like a vice to stomp his/her feet and get their way.
