No I'm not talking about love your neighbor, or any b/s like that. Im talking about exp. Now this is not a prob at my party i had tonight or anything like that. But what do you think is the acceptable standard of waiting for someone to level? I personally say if they're 2k or less I'll wait. But when I have 876 exactly left to go before 57 and I ve been in the same party for a few hours and they decide to disband, full well and knowing, I find that ignorant. When you re receiving 100-250 exp a kill it cant more than 10 minutes. I understand you may have prior commitments, but 5-10 minutes isnt going to kill you. So my question is how much exp will you wait for some to get before leaving?

Sometimes people -have- to go. I always tell my pts what time I have to leave by, and if it's within the next 2-3hrs when I've to afk for 10-15mins for dinner. Sometimes if I tell my pt I have to leave at 11est when we started at 7pm, someone could be 500tnl, but I would honestly not have the time to stay for it.

I've also been on the other end of the stick, I know it's fustrating, but I think *most* people wouldn't leave you at under 1k tnl unless the really needed to go.

I do generally stay for 1k-ish exp most of the time, 11:30's my real have-to-go time, I just tell everyone 11 so I get a 30min safety net ;)

What he said. Sometimes people -have- to go. No matter what. If I need to leave, I give fair warning in advance so people aren't surprised or pissed off.

PS. Love the sig daveman!
/em makes "Davemansmule"

It really sucks when you're left close to a level and the party disbands. I've had the best happen to me, I was left 750 exp to 75 and the rdm had to go. Sometimes people really have to go though.

My party stopped while I was 500 away form 75 in a recent party. I didn't really care, didn't say anythign either. Guess I like having something to look foward to when I login next. I kind of get tired though of going 20-25 extra minutes for people because they tend to chain, doing that extra 2k exp is 30 mins, and then someone else is 1k away, and then another. Next thing you know its an hour and half later than when you wanted to stop and someone is still close to lvling. :( Especially nasty when working with 10k exp merity points.

1200 is the absolute cutoff for me.

900 and lower I got no problem with, if its 1k eh.. 1200+ You will get it next time. Goodbye!

I start asking for @ when i've got 20~mins left. If someone is under 1200 at that time, party almost always decides to split on ___'s levelup and its nice and friendly.

Heh. I remember when I was 104 exp from level 63 and the party disband. I was soooooo mad. No one warned before hand that they had to go. One fake d/ced and the rest said screw it and left.

I actually kind of have it cut out on how long I stay.

Valkurm Dunes through Kazham = 700 exp or less and I'll stay.
Garlaige through Crawler's Nest = 1000 exp or less.
Past that, I'll stay for 2500 exp or less.

But, I will not stay for people who end up in that range AFTER the people I stayed for leveled. I give the party warning that I'm only staying for the next so and so exp for that person to level and then I'm gone.

When I have to get ready for work and someone is 1000 exp or less to leveling, I'll try to stay for them to level but warn that I will have to leave when it gets close to the time I need to get to work.

I try to be nice but end up being the bad guy in the long run because someone ended up with 850 exp after the person I stayed for leveled and I'm "a bitch for leaving the party when someone was so close to level". /sigh

Not that it really matters, but there's a huge chance the MNK is using a Super Ribbons, which woulda also give him another 1 eva/acc (and however much eva/acc +1 to every stat would give)

Personally, if I'm about to level and I KNOW the party's gonna break, I try to go before I level, or else people throw out that "you only stayed to get you level" crap.

I've actually had that happen before, I had to go soon and told the party before hand. I got my level about 5 minutes before I had to leave, but I didn't hear anyone say that I was leaving once I leveled. Sometime's it's a coincidence, so I don't really blame people unless they flat out say they're going to go after they level or if they just stop trying after they get it.
