Two new underground handheld systems that are being released soon will clash. Pandora is independently developed by a handful of people from the GP2X community and is considered to be the unofficial successor to the GP2X. However, The Wiz was recently announced and is the official successor to the GP2X.

The Pandora is a good bit more powerful, has a much longer battery life (at defauly clock speed), can overclock to 900MHz, has a full qwerty keyboard, comes with 2 SDHC ports (with the 32GB SD cards coming out soon, that gives a ton of space to work with) and has many other features like wifi and bluetooth but it comes at a hefty price of $330 while The Wiz is only $180 and the programs and games already out on the GP2X can very very easily be ported to The Wiz.
I'll be picking up a pandora when preorders start in the next couple of months. You can already preorder The Wiz at the GP2X website and at PlayAsia. I might eventually pick it up as well depending on how quickly everything is ported to it. I' assuming that the playstation emulator should be able to run everything at full speed on The Wiz. I know it will on the Pandora.
