Except for the fact that he's wearing a Starbucks apron.
But no shirt, which I doubt they'd allow in the store. So, eh, I dunno. I'm really pissed IRL about crap and worded this badly, so...sorry. I just thought it was funny that he seemed to fit the stereotype people make about hillbillies, I didn't say i thought it was true, not in the least. -_-
Nah, have to say I chuckled a bit. Mostly at the editing. Either way guys... -he'snotserious-
He only posted his response after several people complained (and after I'd made this thread - I'd only just now seen him claiming to be joking)
...and I personally wouldn't forgive him, though that's just me... Just because he thinks it's funny doesn't mean others will. Racism's a pretty touchy subject as is, and even professional comedians try not to lay it on even half as thick as that guy did. If he was trying to be funny, it'd be my opinion that he failed badly, because the way he delivered makes him seem incredibly racist and nothing else.
Kinkkerbelle said:You don't see the irony? Stereotyping people from the south in your complaint about him stereotyping Japanese people? Not all rednecks/southerners/hillbillies are stupid, ignorant racists. I agree that the vid was pretty stupid, but you are doing the exact same thing that he is, just in a different way.
I commented that it's funny that he fits the stereotype, not that the stereotype rings true. My apologies if I came off that way. All the same, the guys a racist ogre.
And no, I'm not bashing on ogres.
