Clap clap clap..... but will the masses listen?

Most people playing this game are not adults, so asking them to act like adults is a lost cause at best. NOw I know I like to get on here and stir shit up from time to time.. throw in a "mother fucker" or two from time to time, but it is the flameboard, and half of what is said, if that, may be taken seriously.

Now many of you are DEAD SERIOUS as a heart attack on this board. rememebr this is a game, and add some levity to your ramblings. I want all the nice things in this game for my character... and I bitch from time to time about not having this or that... but I can take actions to get what I want... although complaining is the easier route that most people seem to take.

What the hell am I rambling on about now?

The end is as we've been trying to tell yall.... We are an equal opportunity Linkshell that does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, nationality, how well you play the game, or what your buying / selling habbits are. Honestly.. we don't care as long as you're a cool person to hang around and BS with.

I'd like to see the addmintances to knowing they sel gil. Again how can one know for sure short of one tlling them they do. I was in Voodoolounge for months almost 6 months. Have you ever been there? NO! Your makeing large assumptions and baseless acuzations all because of a few actions and no real proof. Or is it because these people are chinese. Just come out and say you hate chinese people if thats the reason. Not every Chinese person sells gil.

As long as no one in VoodooLounge gets mad if I MPK their members that I believe strongly to be gilsellers, then I don't care who they let in either. Move power to them. I just don't want someone doing shitty things to your GS's to constitute as LS drama.

Voodoolounge doesn't care if they sell gil or not. Makes em bitches in my book. I'll do what i can to make their game play suck if i have an opportunity.

Yup, but people who are so quick to flame Gilsellers associate with Gilbuyers and treat them as regular players, and say its ok because of X reason. Well, then you cant be mad at Gilsellers, because you're not mad at the Buyers. In fact, buyers are almost worse, because they're the only reason these evil sellers are here.

We should almost make a rule. If you protect or associate with a widely known Gilseller, you must therefor be a buyer, because that would be the only reason you would want them to be around.

This board, as well as many of the other gaming sites that we all frequent, "protects" gilsellers when they run their advertisement. It's mildly amusing that although this site advertises gilsellers, cheat programs, and various other taboo ads that we continue to frequent this board. Usually those with such conviction would be the first to boycott a website that advertises something that they have such a lack of tollerance for.

You're not going to find an advertisement for an abortion clinic on a catholic website. You're not going to find a beer company running ads on a MADD site. Why? People are so convicted by what they are against that they are not going to tolerate those advertisements and are going to go the distance to see that those are removed immediately. Would these gaming sites survive without the funding from those ads? Eh, it's doubtful. The fact that it is doubtful only goes to show how many people must be using these services.

Do I fault Sculli for using these type ads? Not really. The only time that I'd be prone to take action is if the cheat programs ads continued (which I do believe he did take some action towards), or if there was something else placed on here that I found to be in bad taste. Regardless to how much anyone wants to candi-coat the fact that he has to "pay the bills" to run this site-- in the end it is still his responcibilty to screen the ads that come up. If people (site-viewers) were as strongly convicted by the gil-seller ads as they seem to be by threads like these-- you would not see them on the boards what so ever. You'd have various Linkshells/Guild Factions shelling out $$ to run their own ads and supporting the website to avoid these advertisements.

However, if you fail to find the irony of arguing about whether it is wrong or right to sell or buy gil on a website that supports RMT....

Something is obviously wrong.
 
The website doesn't support RMT directly... Do you even know what Google Adsense does? It takes your website, scans the most common words/phrases. Plugs them into their AdSense engine, and displays what pops up. It's an automated process, almost untouched by human interference.
 
Sculli banned as many as he could. He doesn't have complete control of what gets advertised. The leader of this shell DOES have complete control of who stays in the shell.

I do understand how the advertisement works, as well as him moderating as much of it as he could through this advertisement company. Does that mean that there is not other companies that he could use? No, but they're not going to net him the same as these particular ads. Somepage, allah, the site that hosts RL pictures of players, and various other sites also use Gil Seller ads. Some through ad companies, some through direct funding from the RMT companies. Yes, that is supporting RMT regardless if RMT is supporting these websites that we all frequent regularly. -- So, yes, the guy that's buying gil is actually also paying for websites like these? Irony, yes.

Sculli has just as much choice as the random person you plan to MPK. In fact, you can actually use means such as Paypal to support this website to remove ads all together-- but, naturally, I doubt that you would. I honestly don't think that You get it. Actually, no, I think you do get it-- but it doesn't make for a very good arguement if you could bring yourself to agree.

Sorry but I can honestly say I have absolutly no idea what you are talking about. I quit FF and havent looked back. I started betaing RF Online and once the beta exspired (Monday) I activated the number I was given for takeing part in the beta testing. Sorry but I'm not going to pay like 60 some odd dollars (50 for a new coppy of the game and a new account, and whatevere the activation is) just to argue and yell at people who can't be reasoned with like yourself. But if someone did tell you off good for them more power to them!

isajeep and westyle win this thread, hands down.

Meeze has convictions he sticks to, unlike a large portion of the FF community. Personally while i may disagree with random things that come from meeze i have the utmost respect for this.

Mac got bitched hard and has since occupied his time sounding like a moron. Seriously dude ... buyers create gil? jesus.

Tex destroyed my mind with homonyms .. emphasis on the homo.

And no one's opinion is going to matter for shit on this issue as soon as there's another rdm melee flame, server maintenance thread, or BoL thread ... after all this time can't you people come up with something better than the same old crap?

On a side note the most recent explosion in the economy was thanks to duping, i find it incredible this wasen't mentioned once when talking about the RMT folks who got banned as most of them weren't your average NM campers .. not only was that amusing but the fact that i know this and haven't played in god knows how long is hysterical by comparison of those on this thread who would love to appear "in the know" and are still active in the game .... way to go, good to know making shit up off the top of your head to support your opinions or theories isn't quite out of style yet.

To BigBoy - I started to write a big reply to your statement about MPK'ing our members but I realized it would be pointless because children such as yourself have too much impotent rage to hold inside and this is probably your only outlet.
