They have /invisible.. and they have /hide

Why do they both do the exact same thing? You'd think /invisible would make you off /flist and /hide might.. ya know.. hide you? so you can't be /sea all name and be found?
This is really annoying.. I log in on /hide and within 10min I STILL get 100 freaking tells from people.. It's really bugging me, why can't SE give you a way to have privacy without slamming up /away? (which just leads too 100 messages.....) Maybe some people ONCE AND WHILE want some alone time??
How about those REALLY well known people who want to enjoy a day of peace without everyone on Vana stalking them asking things?
I just wanna know, is there any reason for /invisible and /hide? They both are the same, and neither let you be "hidden". -.-
 
/anon hides your level and rank but not your online status to all people who just do a /sea for you.

We def need a stealth mode. I bet everyone would use it for NM/HNM camping to hide ToD.

I dont mean pt invites.. I mean people who know you.. and /sea all name every friggin 5min ...... I want time alone sometime.. maybe I am talking to a good friend and dont want to deal with other crap... maybe /stealth would be best.. just SOME form not to be seen by everyone in the world....
 
Try to play a single player game where you dont interact with others, if you want to be alone I mean.

Fact is not every moment of your life do you wanna talk to everyone. Sometimes you wanna be left to a few people and talk to no one else.. if for 10min or a day. The fact you have no way to be hidden from /sea all is crap. Period.

Take a walk, do something else BY YOURSELF. Not that hard.

Online game = interaction with other people.

I sometimes wish there was a stealth mode too, but hey, you can always just ignore them. If they aren't understanding, they can't be that good of friends. I can't recall if there is a full filter for tells or if its just a hold, but that might make it easier to ignore everyone at once with.

Go play on another character. Have a secret character that you play when you want to be alone and don't tell anyone about it.

If you really don't want to talk to anyone for 10 mins...just walk away from the computer and do something else. No one can bother you if you don't put yourself in front of the computer and play the game.

You could just ignore the tells and pretend to be afk. :biggrin: Works best if you aren't in Jeuno where they might see you running about though.
 
It is kind of funny that invisible mode only hides you from the people you're probably most inclined to chat with. I was kind of surprised as a newb to discover that invis mode only hides your presence from friends, and not from everyone else. I had thought it'd stop pt tells on my then dunes level whm. At the time I disliked partying and intended to solo to 75.
