THF/BLU - Thoughts?

Hi guys

I'm leveling my thief so that I can sub it for blue mage. Problem is I don't have warrior at a level where it can be subbed. To level warrior I'll need to level monk to sub for warrior. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on what thf/blu would be like? Obviously not the preference over the norm, but not much is lost with this setup. I can sub most mage jobs but that would make my thief pretty weak. Can any of you guys give me some advice? Thanks.

Very little MP without adding significant MP gear (which will weaken your THF damage.

There's little in the way of helpful BLU abilites at low levels to help your THF.

You would get a few nice raw stat boosts, but I think that would be all.

You'll need war for NIN anyway, which you'll sub sometimes. And taking MNK to 9 shouldn't take more than 2 hours with food and milk.

Food and milk? Either way I WISH I could get jobs to that level that quickly. Guess I go about it the wrong way. Either way you make a valid point. Guess I'll get on that. Best to do this the proper way I suppose. Stupid sub jobs ; ;

Regen drinks + jack-o-lanterns are amazing at low levels.
