In the DE-spam case, or even SB spam, I'm sure Blau would outDD a Stylet. The high SB damage would not make up for the much higher hits on account of 3 higher base damage and +16 attack.

I am aware of the properties of the Blau. It's technically only actice when your TP is 0-99, when you WS, your TP drains to 0, that's technically when your dagger is active.

I just used Shark Bite as an example, cause it's what I use 90% of the time. It's good/reliable for Wyrms/HNM/Gods, closes/opens Light, and my Duo/Tri buddy is a Whm(duo) and RDM(trio), so it not only gives me damage comperable/greater than Dancing Edge, but does it with a Mirrored Skillchain. Not to mention SB is infinately more reliable. Besides, it's a moot point, DE has almost the same Damage mod as SB anyways (SB Dex 50%, DE Dex30%) so the figures are still basically the same.

For the attack, yes, a Blau could hit theoretically hit harder for the 20 hits it takes to get 100 tp, but marginally, after that, the Stylet's base damage, and added Accuracy/Crit rate attained form the added Dex more than make up for it. But as a thief, your damage should be more focused on your WS damage anyhow. Again a moot point in favor of the Blau, thieves are a focused damage source later on, you're not the star DD in any group, you are a utility. Your individual dagger swings don't matter at all, even in a grand scale, you are there to set up a reliable skillchain with the maximum damge you can, to place the most hate you can, so the Blm's can do more. (Another added point to the Stylet, having the +1 Enmity to help that too)

Again, over all, no, I can safely and confidently say, I can outdamage any thief using a Blau with my Stylet.

I have used both, the Stylet is a far superior weapon.
 
I also heard that the Blau's latent 28 dmg and +16 attk was active during WS. I haven't used it, but did see some "tested parsing"...God knows the validity of that.
 
lolTHF :D j/k... never seen a THF cannon though. It'd be an interesting experiment that I might come to hate if it completely sucked ass D: wonder if all the Thieves had a Ridill >.>
