Thf Test

Ok has this ever happened to anyone else? I was able to steal thf tests no problem from the goblin robber in the Cape but I fail with maat hard. I could usually steal a test in 1 or 2 tries.... Now I cant steal a test from any mob ever. Ive gone 0/20 + on mobs now. I have all +steal gear minus rabbit charm. I dont have a test in my mog house or anything like that. Does anyone have any advise? I almost feel like the game is thinking I have a test on me. IT SUCKS. Im just really pissed and frustrated. Thanks Quetzy.

I would suggest killing the Thief you're trying to steal from, perhaps someone already stole it and hid. The repop will have one.

I know others are going to disagree with me, but I think having a Wind Staff equipped while stealing increases your success rate. I spent a lot of time, back in the day, stealing gold beastcoins when they were actually worth a lot, and using the staff, I really did seem to successfully steal more often. My brother also noticed this, as well.

Also, if you've got marksmanship leveled, you could always just kill Maat. Bloody bolts + acid bolts + sleep bolts.. can't beat 'em. Bloody when you lose hp, acid to keep his defense way down, and sleep bolts so you can actually sneak attack + ws him.

Kill the MOBs to ensure you get fresh ones to steal/kill again. Then kill Maat. Don't steal from him.

re: Thief tests

I initially before I stole my warp scroll from Maat seemed to be able to steal test easily from the Tonberries at the temple but now I can't remember the last time I stole a test. This may be because I have Aura Steal fully merited and get the Buffs from mobs allmost always now but am not sure.
