Alright people I am a lvl 36 thf and party invites have become a rare thing to me now and I know its only going to get worse as I go on. But I think I can make this alot easier on myself and others who suffer from the lack of invites. Lets compile a list of things people can do in between parties.

somethings that are not options are the following:

1. Level another job ( because your seeking fora party with your current job )
2. Farm, ( cause 90% of the pt leaders think its a dumb idea to search outside of there leaveling area or the nearest city. )

So lets think up a list here:

Crafting ( requires some money )

i like to run around and cure people in battles as whm/rdm... i just sit there as mnk.

Fishing (of course ). Actually that's how I started fishing, I got the fat greedie quest in Selbina my frist time through the dunes, so I figured I might as well try and complete it while I waited for invites. I didn't know anything about what rods or bait to use, I just had a clothespole and would buy whatever bait was locally available. I got my first seven or so levels of fishing like that.

Anyway, you can fish just about anywhere with a composite rod without worrying about it breaking, and I always carry a couple of lures with me (which lures depends on where I'm going).

Personally I lead the party alot and even if I don't, I try to help find members. I don't know if it's cuz we're higher level or not but I always do a /sea all "insert abbreiated job here" 70-72 (ie. /sea all pld 70-72)

Very rarely, if ever, do I do a search by the area ...

and farming is a really good thing to do on downtime ... we all know we need gil constantly ...

I almost always farm/solo while waiting for an invite. I just can't sit around waiting. I only have so much in-game time to invest and I need to make the most out of it. I do understand that a lot of people just search the area they are in instead of /sea all but oh well. I just need to stay busy.

Why don't you lvl your sub, and wait for a static to build for your thf so you dont have these problems in the future?

For me during down time, I put my seek up and start mining like a madman. Similar to farming but twice as boring, lol. Good thing I watch tv at the same time or I pop in an anime dvd.

no, I dont have the time for a static and its impossible to find people within my timezone and level range,

Well, if you truly don't want to be flamed, then don't do this, but running up to goblins and using Mug and Steal and Fleeing away to zone, that is a good way to make things fun while you wait...also talking to linkshells/friends/stuff is always good, also, do what i do, run around in circles around people, hahaha, everyone gets a good laugh ^^

already mug and flee gobs in batalia and rollandberry

Run around people, and talk with your ls mates, and friends ^^; You won't even notice your seeking until you hear

Somedude invites you to his party.

Also, if you make more friends on this server, parties will be easier, because they know you, and invite you. Like how I was heading for San d'Oria, and Jazper sent me a /tell to ask if I wanted to party 8)
