You're buying an AGP graphics card? I didn't think they made AGP motherboards anymore, since PCI-E is a lot better.

I already bought it a while back to have a decent card for my socket A board. For some magical reason, it won't work on this board even though my bios is up to date and it meets all of the requirements. I'll switch over to PCI-E in a year or so.

The graphics card is the achilles' heel of that system and Crysis will choke real bad on that card if you max it out.

I highly doubt that card could run crysis, at all... and to be honest probably no new games on even medium. AGP is the technology of 2-3 years ago. I think you'd be better off just saving your money and getting something a little more decent. Shit the card i have (7600GT) can be found for ~60$ range if you know where to look and that will get you what youre looking for, youll just need to find a PCI-e board. And some off the lower end Core 2 Duos are in the ~100$ range. From what i could tell you, and i could be wrong, that setup wouldn't play shit.

I paid $100 for it and I can't return it. It'll blow my current Radeon 9600 128MB away.

for 100 bucks its not bad. I can barely run Crysis on my comp though which is pretty pimped aside from my 7600. I get about 30 frames on all low 1024x768. I had a comprable system on intel/nvidia and could get like 60 frames on bf2 on medium and stuff so you should be alright. I only had a 5700 back then though so yours should even be a step up.

Crysis is a really bad benchmark though, it's very much designed for the next generation of graphics boards rather than the current one and runs fairly badly on all PCs compared to other games.

You won't run Crysis on that even decently well on low settings. Even if you do overclock and what not you still won't have the fun experience. Crysis isn't that ultimate of a FPS game if you don't get the eye candy with it.

Okay

I've got the system set up and so far..

Oblivion plays perfect on high settings.
Bioshock plays nice on max settings
Crysis plays nice on high settings with shaders and shadows on medium.

Not too shabby for $150
