Thinking of coming back... also

Yeah but that just means staying at skill level 100 and not moving. Personally my best memories of this game were going to random parties in places I didn't even know you could party in. Basically level 45-47 on my DRG in one party at Yhatoa? and 60 something to 60 something in the Tunnel were probably the best parties I'd ever had (thanks Beka, Darenn and Ducktape!).

Anyways I'm kinda intoxicated since it's my birthday so I'll end it here before I make even more of an ass out of myself.
Those days are over. people would rather all stick to colibri nowadays and from what I'm gathering people don't even realize that colibri aren't the only mob you can exp/merit on.
So if that variety is what you're looking for I'd make sure i had friends/lsmates to exp with in random camps or a static group. There's tons of camps people ignore in tau so at least you get a completely open camp.

Yeah that sucks harsh. I'm trying to get a friend to join so if he does I'll make sure we go to camps pre toau time to time

I'll help ya out! Some end game events actually force players to learn how to play. Nyzul and Salvage would be two. One bad player slows the whole team down. So either they learn or get replaced. There are a lot of gears you can get without having a major endgame event. Salvage is 100 minutes, nno time extentions. Nyzul is 30 minutes each tag. As you can only get 7 in one RL week, it is good for time constraints. Limbus is also pretty short timed. Sky, sea, HNM, and dynamis are the only really long time sink events I can think of.

Yes, Mr. East Ronfaure only D:. Never partied there myself yet, but at least it better then doing Colbri from 55 to 75, I agree! I enjoy random camps too though, only time I get a chance of that is when Astral Candescence is gone.

Nah, you'd be fine.

Level sync is a double-edged sword. it CAN be used to get 75 without ever going past Qufim, technically (though nobody in their right mind does it...), but generally what it does is it makes it possible to make parties at just about any level range, and removes the age-old "level gap" issue where one person levels and destroys the exp for the whole party.

Petergriffin. Lv.10 DRK in the dunes -> 75 - in the dunes. I use him as an example because he no longer plays, so no offense can be caused. I have others if you want, but the people still play so it'll be private messages, not on here. You might not have witnessed people level-syncing their way to 75, but believe me it happens. Like someone already said, they do the whole "invite an 18/19, party until 23/24, kick the syncee and get another 18/19."

To clarify, I'm not dissing level-sync, I love the fact I don't have to be 3 levels below the highest member in the party any more and get gimped exp. I do however hate the fact that I partied with a thf at 60 the other day and his dagger skill was 122, about 80 levels off cap, and 80 levels off dancing edge. That irritated me a little bit, that not only was it so gimped, but he hadn't bothered to fix it before partying =x

Eh that was when my pld was 37 and i hated the shitadel. It didnt help that i wanted to try out my new ja/spells in exp parties vs hitting 50 and never having used them.
It's "wotg only" now>.> i figure if I have to giveup my parade gorget during a party I'd better have some refresh going along with it from sigill. The only problem is everyone interprets that as east ronruare only instead.:shok: It kind sucks when that happens after you go through the trouble of researching all known camps in an expansion.

I had a few parties where the players did not even have normal exping gear. I did two different parties. First was level 66. The theif and warrior did not even have weapons on above level 45. The whm did not have cure 5 because they never needed it having been synced 60- all the time. Second party was level 60+. The tank was using gear that did not give any emnity. They did not even have all their spells because they had been in parties that were 55-. I try to explain what they should have, and most times they are shocked. Once I get 60+ on a job, I try to make parties where I or the majority will get skill ups. A good tip is go to campaign with out a tag on and hit the fortress. This will get you skill ups without campaign mob aggro.

I wanna play again so I can be mean to people who are idiots. teehee

and I miss my old buds

and I miss my old buds

Lol basically. I wanna pop up one day and send like 100 /tells to Jimmydaneck calling him a queer bag then /blacklist.

lol but JK I miss that arrogant asshole.

About 6 months ago when my roomate at the time, Maraxus, started playing and I discovered this new-fangled "level sync" system, my heart wept. Level sync is fucking retarded. It makes the game waaay too easy and caters to the lazy ambitionless noobs that have plagued the online world for almost 20 years now. So I'll say it again - Fuck level-sync. Fuck it in its dirty brown asshole.

Oh and Solan, do you still talk to Jimmy? I saw his name mentioned briefly in a flame that I was glancing over a few weeks ago. It was comforting to know that an old friend still plays, with as many that have quit.
If you go back looking to re-live the old days, don't be disapointed when you can't find them. In the month or so that Maraxus played, I think I found like 4 people that I knew, and none of them were real great friends(other than Seph). I would sit there and '/sea all' for a dozen different people, only to not find a single one in that entire month. It was awesomely nastalgic to be there in the game again, and terribly depressing to be all alone at the same time. Things have changed. It may be the same game still, but it's just not the same game anymore.

Last time I was back I did that, I sat in Whitegates for like 2 hours just /sea all Sepheroth, Delphineya, Beka, Jimmy, Dymond, Gotaru, Kasabianrocks, Nickdwizard etc... basically everyone who was in EP and TTE, unfortunately you're right. Although it was quite nostalgic to be back in the game, to go run around in the familiar areas like Lathien, Valkurm, Altepa, it was so depressing because everyone who I had 'grown up' playing with in that game had moved onto better things. The main reason why I would want to come back would be to see the places I've missed and so on. I do talk to Jimmy on some occasions, mainly myspace and here though. How's Seph doing? I heard that he and Jimbo were bff once more.

Oh, I think Dymond told me they were BFB's once again like a couple months ago. We should still go up there outta the blue and make him take us drinking since it's legal to get drunk at 18 where he lives

Get a job you poor junkie fuck

Hurry up and level already. im getting tired of people who think that "I will only party in WOTG" means "How about we head out to some colibri?" It's like they don't think people mean something when they say it.

My favourite post 60 spot was Bibiki Bay. I don't know why but my parties then were always so always so much fun. Probably cause that's when I started to static with my Darenn on Monk, Ductape on BLM, and later Kloud on DRK. We would just destroy the mobs with like 1k+ WS each a 1500+ Light then like a 4k MB.

That was my favourite kind of partying. Lol gotta love instant flash backs.

That was also probably the last time anyone used a MB.

Bibiki Bay is the fucking bees knees post 60. I only remember ONE bad party I ever had there, and that was due to shitty gimp pty members and a bad camp. You get a bunch of people together who know what they're doing and you can get 10k+ an hour no sweat. I remember times where we'd just be running through that zone killin everything in our path....ahhh, good times.

For real? This game has changed too much...
