so warhammer sucked a fat nut.

all i really want to play is SE's next MMO but who knows when that'll be out.

ffxi is still the best game i've ever played. considering coming back and was wondering if any of my friends were still around.. cause you know.. i gave ALL of my shit away.. so i'd probably come back if the people i gave stuff too could help regear me with some basic equips.

Who were your friends? Do you remember the names? That might help if they dont have QCDN access or don't check regularly. ^^

i think most of em were qcdn regulars. i was in OwMyface with you Mercator

Jimera didn't come on qcdn often i think but he was one of the coolest people i met in game. pretty much all of OwMyFace made the game worth playing, always something good going on in Linkshell chat

other buddies were Jamal, Rappa, Audino and some others... hell even if none of my old friends play i may come back

its a little disheartening to know that they've made the game easier though. the difficulty is one of the reasons i've always come back to ffxi, that and the depth to the game

FFXI was never hard, it was(and still is) just full of useless time sinks. Removing as many of those as possible is only a good thing. Time sinks are bad, mmkay?

That isn't to say that it doesn't have hard activities. But most of what people think of as being difficult is just time consuming.

Every MMO is full of time sinks. If they didn't have time sinks, the companies would lose money. FFXI, WoW, Warhammer, EQ, GW, etcetc all have long pointless time sinks in them so people keep playing them. If you are looking to avoid time sinks, the Wario Ware series is right up your alley.

And yes, I still play, lol.

No shit, I know how MMOs operate. But the less there are, the better your product is going to be.

The reason FFXIs time sinks are so god awful in comparison to other MMOs time sinks, is because rewards are only marginally or situationally better than ones that take significantly less time to acquire.

Jimera...lol jesus i remember that guy from when i first starting playing this game forever ago..dont play anymore, but its funny he's still around, I remember him being an alright guy back in the nub days
