After his Counter-Strike character died in a knife fight, 20-year-old Julien Barreaux spent six months tracking down the virtual killer. Then he grabbed a real kitchen knife and paid the man a visit.

Thankfully the Frenchman's knife skills are almost as bad in real life as they are in Counter-Strike and he missed his victim's heart by an inch. He was arrested "within the hour and told [police that] he had wanted to see his rival wiped out for killing off his character."

Yeah, just thought I'd share with you guys.

Well at least he doesn't have commitment issues?

Six months stalking a guy for an online issue... jeeze @_@

Crazy people are out there, can't deny that. This is especially pathetic, too, because I find it incredibly hard to win at knife fights in Counter Strike (when I played, at least) as it is. Some people are just better at it.

Makes me wonder what kind of childhood this person had. He's 20, so that more than likely means he's newly out of the house. Parents must have done a pretty poor job raising the guy, or at least neglected to see his anger problems.

ha!

the judge described him as a mennace to society yet he only gives him 2 years lawl

There's that word "butthurt" again. Use it more than 3-4 times and you're asking for trouble..

I'd have to say half the people on this site are capable of doing this.

Read some of the posts on the link, some of em are funny as shit..

I highly doubt half of the people on this site are capable of tracking a person down for 6 months to kill him over getting killed in a video game. The majority of the people on this site lack the attention span to read more than a few lines on QCDN, so they'd grow bored of tracking him down after emoraging for a bit. Spending 6 months to track someone down outlast the attention and dedication span of detectives, politicians and most everyone except for Chinese RMTs and hackers.

Funny, when I read that I thought he was talking about using the word / expression butthurt too many times. lol @ your last sentence.

KNIFE RUUUUUSH

Lucky for the guy that got poked there is no Commando Pro in Counter Strike. Jokes aside, 2 years, France? WOAH guys let's not get rash here!

Capable? Why yes, most certainly.
I totally agree with you there.
As it sais, the guy had 6 months to find out who 'killed' his character, look up where he lives and stab him.
With all the social network sites, internet forums, blogs and other websites where people post their lives on (including personal information that you may not even be aware of having pubicly posted somewhere) 6 months is actually a pretty long time to find out.

But half of us having enough screws loose to actually go and do something like this?
I doubt it.

Two years though, I find that a bit short for attempted murder.
Even with an insanity plea.
