I believe the reason for the FB is somewhat alike the NW. People posts should inform players about people who did something they shouldn't have or what not. I also do not think the FB should have been brought back because it is abused so much. I check the FB expecting warnings about people to stay away from, and so far every post has been useless junk.
My time is being wasted. You all are just saying "don't read it and GTFO" but since there is no more NW where do we go to see who to look out for? I go here to look because there is nowhere else anymore and instead of useful information, I end up reading junk. I open the threads thinking they will help, but they dont at all, so just stop wasting peoples time with shit and dont post until you have a real flame to warn people.

WHat I don't underdand is what does have to do all this shit with Hellstorm. Hellstorm is an awesome guy and brother of one of my best friends in the game, does he has bad grammar? So do I, so what? But just hit on him cause of that its not cool, this is just my oppinion.

So it's been a day now. If the naysayers would take a look around, they'll notice "useful" threads emerging, now that the nonstop ranting of how awful the FB is has ceased.

The only reason "stupid" posts were made was due to a large amount of haters coming in and criticizing from the get go, ignoring the first and only rule of the FB in the process. Y'all should know what that is by now. No sense in repeating it. Some people got carried away with thread necros, but you should have noticed that the Mods did a good job getting things under control.

Now, if you allow for the free discussions to take place without acting like the revival of the FB is so terrible, you'll see that it can actually be of use. However, it's still a FB, so when people start talking in a manner that displeases the lot of you, recognize that in this specific forum, that's perfectly acceptable. Also recognize that if you flame-bait, you will get flamed. Don't act surprised.

again. it goes both ways, thats what those who wanted the flameboard were told when it was taken away, now its the other way around. it didnt work then, probly wont work this way around. hell we werent even allowed to tell you guys that.
im not flame baiting. i agreed with someone who posted a very valid point. and because people couldnt think of anything to say when faced with the truth, they just jump right to an attack. no surprise with where it was coming from really, i understand the difficulty of a heated civilized discussion.
its flameboard, yes, but not everyone is here to flame. Some, like myself would just like to discuss the topic at hand with opinions and statements. maybe hope for an intelligent person to uphold an intelligent conversation within that as well. granted with the general maturity of people on our server, it would be a rare site.

the whole "If you dont like it dont read it" thing is pretty hypocritical in itself.
When the flameboard was taken away and those who wanted it back whined and cried about it being gone, I remember myself and others who didnt want it saying "If you dont like it, GTFO" and if i remember correctly, We were told we were not allowed to tell you guys to take it somewhere else. So we had to sit there and deal with you whining about your precious FB all the time. you guys created another website to flame on, but yet hung around here and complained about this site not having one all over our boards.
If we were not allowed to tell you to take it somewhere else, and if you dont like it leave. Then that really isnt going to apply here as well. If you had the right to hang around and piss in everyones cheerios who didnt want the FB, in our forums.
We have the same right to hang around the FB and piss in your cheerios as well.

How is it hypocritical? EVERYONE I know that never wanted the FB to be removed either did in fact leave, or adjusted behavior to fit in with Sculli's mood swing.

People were whining about that because the FB had existed for a long time, and brought many posters to QCDN. When that changed suddenly, people who enjoyed the FB just wanted answers and weren't getting it. You may recall Sculli trying to wash his hands of it, changing what he said on a nearly daily basis, and finally high-tailing it out of here without ever providing any real answers. People whined about it, because what he did was bullshit and he never even provided any real reasons for it until his admission that it was a change made to this forum to align with his newfound personal belief system...Which pretty much says it all.

Now that things are as they should be, we have a tangible forum in which people can make themselves comfortable or GTFO. It really is that easy. Stick around if you want. As you said, it's your right. But your message is already played out. When people whined about the FB, at least they were asking questions. Are you trying to ask some questions, or just bitch? They are two very different things. If you have questions, it would be more effective to just come out with it and ask them.

Why did we need the flameboard back when we had the Burning circle, which was doing just fine and holding its purpose. The only reason i can see for a flameboard was because you just couldnt be mature about things in the BC, that it was burning people up inside that they couldnt talk smack and call people names... over a web forum. which all together is a pretty childish reason.
So why did we need the FB when the BC was doing just fine?

The answer is: We didn't.

The flameboard came back because a.) It's easier to not moderate than to moderate effectively, and b.) the same clique of whiny bitches wanted to have it back so that they could flame people and feel better about themselves.

That's really about it.

There is also the clique of whiney bitches that wanted it removed in the frist place so they wouldn't feel like mentaly weak imbusils (sp) for not being able to stop clicking the FB.
 
BC served a purpose, and there is a discussion in the feedabck forum about it. You should participate there, as many of the FB users did when Sculli took the FB away.

People were being as mature in the BC as they were anywhere else on the board. With the FB coming back, I see people still maintaining that "good" behavior on all the other forums. Furthermore, behavior in the FB (outside of clearly baited flames, that have stopped to the FB's level just to take shots) has been pretty good.

The mods are also there to aid in keeping things from getting out of control, and they've already shown that they are capable of doing so.

So what's the problem that the FB exists?

Whatever mister I joined like 3 months before the flameboard was closed. I've been here a LONG time and read some of the most amusing shit ever on the flameboard not to mention solid debates that actually helped me become a better player esp. when it comes to subjob choices and WS's.

Not arguing the point. Though the one group was far larger and less vocal than the other, in truth.

I do, however, argue that there was one point made during the discussion to remove the FB originally that was quite valid. When people start using the board as a threat, and as a means of revenge, there's probably something wrong with it, and it needs to be changed.

Imbeciles, btw. In fact, "Mentally Deficient Imbeciles" would have been a better phrasing for that particular insult. Though it's not really a good choice for the group in question. You really need to work "Compulsive" into it at some point. I'm still working on the proper parsing.

None of the content on the flameboard required the flameboard to exist, and in fact was present elsewhere prior to its posting there. The amusement factor was almost exclusively amusement at the expense of others, and while it might amuse the hell out of me to kick you square in the testicles, I doubt you'd find it nearly as funny.

Frankly, I don't really care that the FB is back. I'm just a stickler for accuracy.
