Could be server maitence, down, upgrade, or just switching providers. I doubt this is the end of it.
 
Given that he is here in NA I believe, SE would have a great deal of trouble impossing any pressure beyond threanteing emails on him.
 
ah k cool, rones you wouldnt have the link for black maps (for ffassist) would you? I was looking for them, thats when I noticed the website was down ><
 
Most people, when forced to take down a site, leave up some sort of message explaining what happened. This just looks like a server debacle or something.
 
I just got on the site, so it's back up.
 
Where do you find that ffassist that you use the maps with? I found the map on the site, but it was just a big collection of pictures.
 
Just a friendly warning. I downloaded the updated windower to the huge update and put it on my CPU. Since then I have found a possible key logger running in my background upon running any game I play. This is the only thing I have downloaded recently (2-3 weeks&patches aside) so it can't be ruled out as a source. I had to uninstall FFXI after downloading this as well as everytime I would go into a CS my game would crash. Anyway as for how I found this keylogger since they are hidden so well....I froze up in Gusgen today so CTR+ALT+DEL and found an odd scripted 3rd program running in my list. I've seen it from the day I got the new windower but today it really ate at me so I managed to manually freeze up my comp so I could take a look at it. I usually only have 2. Whatever game I'm on and Ventrilo but recently I've had three and anytime I come to a log in info screen my time from hitting enter to getting in has greatly increased. May or may not be the windower and may or may not be a keylogger but it is out of the norm and I just wanted to share this.

I've never noticed any 3rd party programs running, and I've had to use ctrl+alt+del before while the windower was running. It might be from another source, or maybe I just haven't seen it or something.
 
Wow...all I can say. Trying to find a copy of that ffassist is like hunting a ghost. All you can find are traces and storeis of it everywhere you go, but never the actual content. I've had less trouble finding unreleased dvd quality movies downloads than this. :?
 
I keep a close watch on my running processes via task manager, especially the ones run under my user name (as opposed to system and network service, etc) I don't have any new or unusual processes going, but one thing I have noticed is that POL doesn't shut down properly when exiting, even though it appears to. I end up with a dead process sitting there taking up memory. Side note, I don't use the new plug-ins, so what you see could be one of them, although I doubt it.

I feel you Rones... I was looking for it the other day...

That was the website I found in the windower forums linking it.

I don't speak japanese, but I've clicked on just about every link on that page.

I've also read some things that said they (The JP group of programmers) claimed copyright infringement to all the mirror sites, and wanted to keep in it 1 place for easy updating.

Perhaps they dont want the NA populace to have it... :cry:
 
I might have found a working copy from archbells, but haven't tested it yet. Most of theirs have been taken down due to the hosts wishes. File was only half a meg, so if it is legit I could host it for others (assuming Pupusa has no qualms against distributing it here). I just want that on screen map.
