And I didn't say that the Savage Gaiters SHOULD be worn, I said they MAY be better, simply because unless you melee, the +2CHR the gaiters would give would be more beneficial than the agi/dex of Leaping Boots and stuff, as well as hp...just a thought. This isn't a post demanding of any equipment nor a flame for what you do..it's just an opinion, don't overblow it..

If I paid 600K or whatever leaping boots are going for, I would wear them to weddings, church and to bed. And especially if I was LFG. :D

You guys are completely missing my point. She could of sold her leaping boots to buy better things for bard, such a monster signa. I do realize that BRD mostly doesnt get any good feet until RSE and such, but this again is just another excuse to being lazy. As of now I'm wearing boots that give MP+ witch is very more useful than 3Dex and 3Agl. So there IS better options. And don't tell me money is an issue. You could sell those boots and buy both the signa and the MP+ boots. AND later buy your RSE.

Did I mention I have a LV50 THF? Witch was the job I was leveling before Bard? Oh and I also had a LV58 sSAM ontop of that. So there again, "Having another job, is just another Gimp's excuse."

Krono, hun, SHE has a thf also. Why would she sell her boots when she was just leveling the Bard job to help her LS in BCNM's? Makes no sense.

I don't think she should sell her boots to get a monster signa and think it would be fine to wear the leaping boots, especially at that level...

I however would of switched the leaping boots for some MP+ boots...like mages sandles or seer's pumps

Just a thought here but shouldn't you save your judgement until after you partied with her? I mean you can't say someone is a gimp unless you know it to be true and the only way to do that is party with them. If she sucked to party with then fine complain but really you have no reason to. Don't go checking someone else especially if they are not in your party and cry about it.

Anyways guys, I cant see going to buy Kingdom Clogs or even Mages Sandals for xxxx gil. 3 - 5 MP and 1 - 2 DEF I can do without. Yes I understand I am in a support role and need to back up heal whenever possible. I use pies in most cases, and even then I never get a chance to fire off heals lately cuz ive been in some good partys. Who knows, maybe one day I will be short 4 or 5 MP to save the party and dont have them. Either way, its my choice.

I really doubt ppl wont invite me cuz Im not sporting a signa. As long as I get madrigal, minuet all the others in, Im sure Im doing just as good a job as any other BRD.

I wore leaping boots too on my BRD all the way to 37. Why? Why the hell not? If I ever felt like meleeling(which I didn't) I'd be able to hit. There are no boots that assist songs at all at that level. And if you're wearing some fruity evasion boots you are without a doubt having worse boots than him. BRD doesn't take hate, period, and if they did, +evasion wouldn't mean much. And I already had leaping boots.

End of story> You were looking for a reason to justify yourself as better. You were competitive and you tried to pull a weakness about your rival BRD out of your ass and make it public so people would invite you not them.

Sell the LL so if I get a thief invite tomorrow I'll have a signa to stare at and no boots? :roll: :roll: :roll: RSE for certain races is the only alternative until our useless AF minus the gloves, such as hume boots for the +mp for the hell of it, the mp I never end up using anyway mind you because I have a good static for my bard.

I'd go as far as saying signa is one of the top 10 overrated items in the game costing over 300k. If you really the signa that much to land your songs, then the rest of your gear really just sucks. most likely. If yuo ahve chr+2 rings, that HQ ribbion, and a bird whistle whistle, and some tea at your current level, there shouldnt be a problem. And hume, taru, and elvaan sure as hell don't need signa to land sleep on mandies if they have AF dagger, chr +2 or chr+3 rings, whistle, ribbion, chr+5/6 belt. Stop flatering yourself this job requires an inmense about of chr to land stuff, it doesn't except for the normal synth available chr gear, with the exception of major NM/HNMs.

So according to you, we all must go many several levels at once and sell our main job gear? What about people that play the job as a pick up once in awhile just to take a short break from their main, or have a set day every week in which they continue to level it?

And once again the signa is a big piece of dog shit waste of gil. I'd rather buy a 2ndrabbit charm if I could before I get a signa, the charm isn't xp useful, and the signa isn't either.

1-You don't need any HQ chr gear to land enfeebles before 50, it's just not that difficult and this is by far the cheapest job possible to play to a very acceptable standard. Nothing has trouble landing before 50 with acceptable gear, I can tell you that.

2-You get staves at 51 when you may want more enfeeblement landing since the mobs get higher and higher, but as you get more access to even more, you guessed it, dirt cheap chr gear. When you may actually need more landing power, something better than signa comes along, that concludes that.

Apply 1 and 2, why are you flaming someone for not wasting gil on a useless signa? For the record, I at the moment have more than enough to purchase a signa right now if I wanted to, but it's just not needed, I'd rather spend my gil where it will have an impact on something currently needing work for thf,nin, brd. Again I'll say it, a signa is about as useful as a rabbit charm ( which I actually did get the urge to buy for some reason and went through with it for 600k ), sure it's 'nice', but it's not needed for the good of a party, it's a stupid status symbol.

Even galka and mithra can get away without it no problem with just a small investment more. From their RSE set between their feet and body, they can each get up to chr+3, put that with HQ chr +2 and then later +3 chr rings. They're at par or passing the other 3 races with all their normal stuff with about an investment of 100k opposed to 300-400k, which is once again more than enough. I'll go flame a thief for having emperor hairpin but not having a rabbit charm now :roll:
 
Was Azariah lazy to wear inappropriate gear? Yes. Was Krono wrong to point it out? Yes. I never gripe about someone's gear unless they are in my XP party, and I do it nicely via tells, in a sort of "maybe you should try getting a XXX" way.

Bottom line: they were both wrong and both right at the same time.8)
 
What boots should he have that he is wasting his slot by having say his THF boots on. If there are some important BRD boots in Kazham then sure yea he is being a dick, but if he only other choice is def boots, then what does it realy matter. LL are undeniably good ass boots, granted they are kinda useless for a BRD. However neither are they hurtfull. So whats the issue?

Well there aren't that many great boots to wear, and sometimes I just like to recycle.

I was actually thinking of digging out my leaping boots the other day to wear on my BRD. I figure it's either those or light solea. :?
 
Here's a question for Krono...
Pretend the person (to say, some BRD you saw) wasn't quite as successful money-wise, and instead wore, say, Lizard Ledelsins. If Leaping Boots on a BRD to you is gimped, what's that then, super-gimped?
