Ok i hate this game and everything related to it.

Ok so i just skipped first class this morning to finish work for my presentation in french class later today, but instead I come here and start browsing the forums and looked up the announcements in the viewers when i learned that SE was doing something about gil sellers.

How can I kick the addiction? Do i need to get lvl 75 first lol? Bah, work sucks and back to it.

MMORPGs work like this.
You play 'em
You don't play 'em.

There is no middle ground. Learn to live around your MMORPG or uninstall and break the discs. lol.

/still additiced and loving it.

Phraust Playtime: 136 Days
Date of Instalation: October 28, 2003
Today's Date: November 30, 2004
Days owning FFXI: 397
Percentage of life spent playing FFXI this year: 34%

If a human sleeps 8 hours a day, and if 8 hours is 1/3 of a day, it could easily be conluded that we sleep a third of out year away. One third = 33%.

I have been online more than I have slept...
And I am not including mesage boards and such..

Is there a Patch or something fo rthis game like what Smokers get? Or a gum or something.... I think I might just have to move to Heroine to kick my FFXI habbit.

/em has been playing a year and has 49 days playtime and counting.

I'm addicted as hell lmao XD, i lubber it!

End of May 2004 (20th-ish): Creation of my elvaan.
Play time: 59 days, 4 hours. (More than all my games of all the other FFs i ever played.

PS: 95% on my french oral presentation, gotta love that combination of last minute shit pulled out of your ass and a super slack teacher that doesnt really care.

See you in game

Playtime : 160days 40hours
Time registered FFXI : Jan 5 2004 : Created Elvaan character on same day as well.

I spent like 15hours per day weekdays in FFXI and 20hours on weekends i'm addicted but i haven't done much in-game cause of lack of help (which is still a problem for me even now). Only thing i can do is level up jobs that i want.

I found it! Get married to someone who despises gaming in general... I've been able to "cut down" but not quit. I think it is a 2 step program where, the next choice can either make you quit completely or become a full blow addict again. It's called divorce.

So my husband started this game in January and used to play A LOT....and I used to bitch and bitch and bitch and to quote Majorhavoc even more...its was total "Wife Aggro" But then I sat down one day while he was in the shower and I started to mine for him, something I would rather poke my own eye out than do now, and then I make a char....and then we buy the PS2 set-up....and then I make a new character....then I broke my back and all I can do is FFXI and I love it!

But moral...I had to bend a little to spend some time with my husband...either learn to love it or learn to love paying the bills on my check alone (divorce)!

First off, I have to say Sneakypants get full credit for the phrase "Wife Aggro"... LOL

When I bought this game, I actually just bought it for the HDD for my PS2! I insisted that I would never play FFXI. However curiousity got the best of me so I made my trial account. When I began playing, I was certain that my wife would like this game. If not FFXI, maybe TetraMaster (it sounded like "Tetris" which is just about the only game she likes). Well she wasn't interested but I quickly became addicted. Now it seems like every damn time I play, I have to explain to her the concept and the reasons that I have to play for HOURS on end. To her it looks like every other game and thinks that I can "press pause" or "start over"...
