I'm going nuts. I've been trying to build the perfect Armored Core to win those crazy Japanese players but to no avail. I'm confident with my own skills in piloting my AC since I've beaten most NA and EU pilots along with the game's hard mode simulation. However, those Japanese are kicking my ass from a good ranking of 17800+ points down to 15000+. >_<;

Anyone know any good tips to beat those crazy land of the rising sun muthafackas?

Atomic bombs seem to do the trick, but you'll need at least two. Try going with the Yamaga.

I use to play Armored Core alot. Now i feel like playing the PS3 version.

My younger brother Drew use to make this skinny frail AC with some decient firepower. I went nuts trying to destroy it in pvp mode.

The beauty of making a lightweight AC is it's speed, it's actually comedic to see how quick they can run and how much feedback you get from using powerful thrusters.

Also with this combination he would attach those missles that fly up in the air and hit the harget from above.

Being fast will make you very evasive, if you can manage to provoke you're target with a dance, they may have a difficult time noticing they have enemy fire coming out of nowhere.

Making such an AC is to sacrifice defense, and if i remember correctly, some firepower too. If you're the Top Gun, you can make the target waste alot of ammo before you move in for the kill.

Out of curiousoty, what kind of AC does the majority of Japanese players make ?

Japanese pilots? They make ACs that's about 36000 hit points, moves like lightning and jumps like a rabbit! It's almost impossible to get a lock-on on them and even when I changed my FCS to the fastest lock-on, it's still impossible to lock-on to them!

Man i'm having an AC attack so i'm getting AC4 when i get my PS3 for sure.

I can imagine those players put alot of time and credit into making their ACs. If you can build an AC to somewhat match their specs, i'd suggest efficiently feeding them missiles from as far as possible. A device with long range lock on should make it easier to do just that.

Save some of that heavy ammo you've been disbursing over time, for when the opponent comes to the point where they feel they need to Melee you.

These AC performances are very complexed, but if you can note how much thrust time you're opponent is getting out of their AC, that might help dicipher when to feed them the mashins.

Then again my logic is based on Armored Core 2. If you figure something out let me know. I love this stuff.

My AC is built on that kind of mindset, to take my enemies down from far away with tonnes and tonnes of missile, however, in AC4, there's ACs built specifically to counter those using Primal Armor and shell defensive parts. Now, Japanese, for some reason, found this awesome balance to balance shell and laser defense to a point where it's almsot really hard to penetrate them.

When you get your AC4 on PS3, do drop me a line in PSN and we can check out each other's AC.
