-how did they contact you to tell you it's finished?
-did you keep your other job levels and not just the one you have to give to them when you call?

An IRL friend did this after about a month, his character was restored as he had left it (including dead, in Garlaige Citadel, he'd ceremonially killed her off >.>).

Not sure how long it took though.

i had it done once you get everything back exactly the same as if your logging on again. your even standing in the same place its kinda funny just all your armor and money and gear is gone that you gave away

i knew someone who did this about a year back. took 5 days from the day he made the first phone call. everything was exactly the same as when he left. you have to be the one that contacts them for everything.

How is it when you first come back after like 2-3 months? I'm curious because I will have been gone for two months (I believe if I am correct) around January 1st and am not entirely sure if I will have to contact customer support or will be fine when I log in to play. I never cancelled my id's or deleted my characters, so they should still be there to reactivate... Just wanting to make sure. Thanks.

You only have to contact customer service if you deleted your character from your content ID. If you only cancelled the content ID, then you can just install POL and FFXI, then reactivate it.

To restore your character that has been deleted, it takes about 5-7 business days. They have a long list of characters to be restored and a person that goes down the list and manually restores then one by one.

If you don't delete your character and cancel your content ID, your character will still be there for at least a full year, maybe longer.

There's really no point in deleting your character.

well, I didn't call from the number that I made the account on, but they didn't seem to care. they said the request was processed and to expect it done within 1 week, they would contact me(I think they said email, don't know if they meant PoL email or the one I registered with the account, doesn't matter though)

only thing I was really worried about is they asked me for my -job- and not my -jobs-

I've done the deactivate POL and come back with the character still. Then, deleted my character and restored it. And yea there's really no point in deleting your character.

Proably a name change. I moved a mule too Hades when they had the server migration going on and someone already had my name so I got asked too select another name. I imagine it would be the same with you being the one selecting a new name. Thats just a guess on my part.

I restored about 2 months ago. They say it can take up to 2 weeks or more. Mine were restored in 5 business days.
