those whacky invites from new people

not much of a flame, I laughed a lot so this might be in "Good Times".
I was screwing around with BST for something to do. While I was in
L.T.Plateau, I got a "xxxxxx invites you to his party."

I don't remember the name and would like to protect it anyway.
I did a /sea all xxxxxx and found he was a 10war with no sub and rank1.
So he is new, no problem. I declined it.

I told the LS and we laughed a little. Later I get "xxxxxx invites you to his party."
again. LOL. So I declined again.

He stopped after that. I was hoping for one more attempt from him. That
was the point where I would explain, in a kind manner, about blind invites.
Then I'd explain that he really wouldn't want me as a BST in his party at 11.

...but he didn't do it a 3rd time...
 
Funny thing is, I get invites when I'm playing bst/whm (mind you I'm only 15), but I find it so odd.... I really don't know how I can be useful past being a weak melee-er
 
BST aren't that bad of a Melee, if they sub WAR they can funtion in a PT np at all. I had a PT in boyada tree as PLD and a BST had made the PT, we did really good, that is until he accidently sent his pet after Aqurius. lol He just say a crab and pulled, didn't see the name =P
It wasn't noobish, just an honest mistake. But he did pretty good damage withi him and his pet, he's realease before it died so no exp penalty.
 
I got an invite the other day in Bastok from a level 3 WAR (no sub) and I was a level 34BLM LOL He kept inviting me...I asked if he needed me to help with something - he just wanted a party....an EXP party...I had to explain (TWICE) why I wasn't a good match for another 30 levels
 
Got one the other day as I logged into one of my mules (who is a level 12 WHM)...It read:

-Blind /tell-
Dork: Come to Dunes
Me: Why? (knowing damn well they wanted the services of a WHM)
Dork: Shortage of WHM
Me: Wow, that sucks.
/logout
 
Damn no edit button...Mind you, I was in my mog house in Windy.
What a nutsack that guy was.

Heard stories of the BST/Wars being useful in pts with a pet... Rumors realy never seen it would not mind trying it for shits and giggles though.

:shock: WOW you have an UBER-Mule! Mine is only level 7 and I wondered why
I even bothered leveling a mule. Now that I think about it, I should get my mule to
15 for quick choco-travels to other towns.
 
Duffman... It's twenty dude, 20!!! AND you have to spend the 6 hours in Jeuno all over again! LOL
 
I thought about changing all my mules to blm awhile back and leveling them all to 17 so I could warp back to my mog ... if only I had the time dammit!!!!
 
lvl 12, lvl 7 mules...?

i take blind invites ,sometimes with low ranks , if the party and team work is good, i stay, but if the party does argument only then its adios

I will too a lot of the times (mostly desperate times). just because someone is new doesn't mean bad gamer.
A good number of new people have played the genre before and can quickly adapt and overcome.
It was just wierd about this guy who wanted an 11BST!

maybe he was experiencing desperate times himself.

OOPS! yeah you're right. I was thinking of lvl15's who can ride chickens at
a reduced time limit. ...totally forgot it is a DIFFERENT character.... :oops:
come to think of it, I believe my mule is VERY comfy stuck in Windy.
 
Ok I have absoultely nothing against new gamers. If it wasn't for all the wonderful people who helped me I would still be quite the noob myself.

What does bug me is when they invite you to a party, and you try to make gentle suggestions, and they get pissed and insist they are right (because they learned so much in the 2 weeks they've been playing) and then get even more pissed when I leave after a couple of deaths.
 
yeah, I remember when I was soooo pissed that I couldn't figure out how to move my character that I beat my keyboard sensless. Since then, I have receive a lot of help. It never seems to stop. There is always something new a few levels ahead.

So I get a big kick helping people out. I can only do simple things like getting people's Kazham keys or subjob items at my level but it's a start.
 
Thanks to Bardley games everyone thinks that BST messes up the exp of the whole party. But it doesn't. It only effects the exp rate of the BST. Even though I think it would be better to solo, but still... you CAN party.

thank you the wonderful back button... I meant to say at the end of that, I will assume all females charachters other then Mithra are female until told otherwise, you get pissed at me, guess what yyour Avatar represents you...You chose a girl avatar I will assume you are a girl. And yes I know more then a few female players to those of youw ho seem to think female gamers do not exist...
