Japanese police have been investigating a woman in her thirties who reportedly trashed her ex-boyfriend's Lineage save, including deleting all the in-game weapons that he had painstakingly collected.

Although no real money was actually taken, the police got involved after it emerged that the woman had illegally used her ex's username and password to access the account. The woman told police that she deleted the data as revenge for breaking up with her, report GameSpot.

The couple first met through the game in the Autumn of 2005, but the relationship was short-lived, say the investigators.

They could have not met in the Autumn of 2005, it hasn't come yet. If it be true what she has done, then they probably met in 2003, cause if it were Autumn 2004, then she sure as hell is a peice of work to have done such a thing at the end of a 4 month relationship

That would suck. Good thing I keep my comp pw locked AND he can barely use a mouse. The thing I worry bout is him gettin' pissed off enough to throw my monitor out the window (which he has threatened to do on more than 1 occasion).
