Thoughtful FFXI video

This might have been posted here already, but I wasn't able to find it, so if you've seen it already I'm sorry. It's not the most well put together movie, and its not funny, in fact its kind of sad. But, I liked it a lot.

I find lately that I never do anything in game unless it directly leads to a higher rank, new gear, or more exp. Not that that is a horrible thing, I've been really enjoying FFXI lately as I constantly improve my character and see new things. However, this video reminded me that its nice to just do things for fun once and a while, even if you don't get anything material out of it. A lot of my best FFXI memories were just running around Vana'diel with friends, or when things when horribly wrong, or something surprised us that we weren't expecting. Hopefully there are still a lot more memories like that to be had!

Saw it ages ago. It reminds me above all else what is great about FFXI, unlike any other MMO, you can actually get lost in Vana'diel. It's fantastic.
 
oh this reminds me of some of the people I first met in this game, maybe I'll send some tells out and say hi to some old friends now.
 
Does actually bring a couple of tears to your eyes, I enjoyed that, I like nice little things like that
 
Even though it's old, it's still a nice video. Touching to say the least.
 
Yeah, from my old LS that I used to lead for 7-8 months, one of my first friends that basically helped me out with everything in the beginning gave me a link to this video and we put the link up on my LS for a while for others to see.

I've only been playing the game for maybe 9 months or so, but I still keep in touch with a lot of my old friends that I started out with actually. Although most of us grew apart since I disbanded my LS, but I miss and cherish a lot of the old memories I had in the game, and appreciate the game for them.

I feel the same way, Vana'diel has so many beautiful zones. Its one of a kind.

I did the exact same thing, its nice catching up with people you used to be good friends with. I love hearing what they've been up to and telling them some fun stories of my own.
