and why is that? Because everyone on this server cries and whines so fucking much making the server look bad. everyone needs to grow the fuck up somtimes. your constant bickering and bitching will get you no where. i have seems peoples rep go to shit becasue of the flameboard and not knowing the whole truth. you may think its childish to quit over somone words but most of the times its the poster who is being childish ultimately acting like a big baby because of said person.

grow up and learn this is more then a game which i constantly have to remind people because people like to talk trash and shit on a person but remember this is a MMO which means your not talking to a NPC or some shit. YOU are talking to a person with feelings. to talk bad to them there feeling get hurt. i have heard this line " its only a game so cares how you talk to people" i had to remind that person that your talking to a PERSON.


i understand when people quit because of words because there FEELING were hurt by said persons words. i don't blame them i wouldn't wants to stay somwhere were i am being bad mouth and disrespected.

I'm refering to threadcrapping on the boards, and people leaving the boards. But it does affect the amount of pleasure people get out of playing the game. People have left the boards because of continued or multiple incidents of threadcrapping, and others can belittle their staying power all they want. But it diminishes the boards.

Yup, but while people shouldn't be asses, they are and some people deserve to be shouted at and flamed. You are using the logic that it should be treated like rl and remember these are real people. Well arguements and flames happen in rl too.

While some people go overboard with flaming and some people have gotten wrongly accused that is no excuse for being overly sensitive and thin-skinned. Not to mention more assholes have been ignored by said accusations than "innocents" condemned.

i am not saying it should be treated like real life all i am saying is to have a little into consideration that your playing with real people so all i am saying is think before you speak.

Edit: i guess you can say i am treating this a little like RL but yes it is fantasy but your stil dealing with real people.

And real people don't always get on well. In fact real people don't get on alot.
 
I think the biggest problem here that i'm seeing with the ideas in this thread in particular is that alot of people don't enjoy the game as much as the boards and wont admit it.

It's sad on alot of levels and can be rationalized a million ways, that's neither here nor there. If the server/game need the boards then the server/game and the boards fail in the first place, IMO.

A message board is simply a place to exchange ideas, information, and to socialize with people who are either like-minded or enjoy a hobby in common. It should not be the cornerstone of the ideology or hobby it represents.

Before you go hucking rocks at me and whatnot for stating the obvious please do keep in mind i succumbed to this pitfall myself for quite some time and to a degree still do.
