So I was come back from my normal morning thing of getting some coffee down at the local coffee house and hit my refresh button just in time to see I had a PM from someone. Now I almost never get PMs, so I excitedly check my box and to my surprise a delicious morsel was brought before me! It seems the chick, and I only assume female because of name, has decided to visit the board again after throwing a fit in the last thread and saying she was never comming back again. Not that it was a huge suprise she did, but for me to be honored with being first contact.... I must say I was touched. A friendly banter ensued and now that I am going to bed, and she has stopped messaging me, I feel it only right to share. I realize it's a weekend so you working guys wont see this for a bit, but I like to imagine I do my part.

I was totally prepared for my job as thf. AND I didn't form the party. Another nin did. After that nin dc'd, we invited Torque to fill in. I was not leeching. And please leave Tonicfly alone. He's only standing up for his friends when they're being wrongfully badmouthed.

I thought you weren't gonna visit this board again. And you weren't being bad mouthed by most people until after you came out and started acting like some huge disservice had been done to you. Had you explained your situation better in your first post instead of getting super defensive the thread wouldn't have taken the turn that it did.

Where I disagree with Tonic is in him saying a NIN with no Utsusemi isn't a leech. It's obviously incorrect, and there was no need to defend anyone on it. He brought himself into that, reguardless of how noble his intent was. You could be trying to save the world, but any mistakes you make along the way are still mistakes.

I defend because these are my friends. I'll take friendship over experience points anyday.

You're irrational, I never once questioned your motive for defending him. He shouldn't have bothered jumping in on the ninja's behalf as even he knows there is no excuse, thats why he mentioned how you guys were going after it immediatly after the PT ended. Before you make assumptions and get all defensive, try and read what I said and make sure you are actually replying to what I'm saying instead of what you wanted me to say.

Nope. I care about about everyone equally, and if my friend is doing a bad job, I make sure they know, cuz thats what friendship is about. If its just a video game to you, then quit, it obviously isn't worth your time if you feel that it takes 2nd string to all else. It's such a vullshit copout to just call it a video gae anyways. We're all real people damnit! Just because its a video game you can suddenly rationalize wasting other people's time? We're not NPC's we spend our time doing everything we can to make other people's playing time enjoyable including our own, and when some dipshit doesn't respect other people enough to bring their A game when everyone else has, they deserve to be called out on it. At this point she stops quoting the whole conversation, but its for the best as she pretty much flips the fuck out here as well. I think it made for a pretty good break in our banter anyways.

Assume all you want about my features, age, and living conditions, but it still wont make you right, and has no basis on this discussion anyhow. I personally enjoyed myself alot with this and really think it says alot about her character as a whole. I can certainly respect a person's drive to act for what they feel is a noble cause, and in general I feel that there was nothing wrong with sticking up for LS mates when not all the facts are in. Something about all the members that responded from their LS rubbed me the wrong way though. It almost seemed as though they felt they were being accused of some attrocity that was so horrific that they had to jump into the thread with guns blazing. It was a major over reaction that would have been best diffused with indifference or a calm explanation.

Imagine how things would have been had the NIN's first post been something along the lines of:

"Yeah, I suck, I really need to get the scroll, but I was given the impression that I would not be tanking think time and that it would be ok if I went without and just acted as DD. I felt kinda bad about it and after the PT my friend and I went out and started working on getting me the Norg fame I needed to get the scroll."
