Lame as hell. Look at their images in game. Anything look familiar?

Least they could of done was make it some kind of 1-of-a-kind item just like the Moogle Cap or some shit. Not even those are reskinned to my knowledge.

It reminds me of a justicorps, personally. Looks more bard-ish to me ( and witch hunter robin-esk as well )

A lot of the stuff in the game is only a re-skin there may only be about 25 ( most likely not as accurate a number but i'm not scrolling through a game worth of stuff to count similarities) original skin bases in the entire game, So I wasn't surprised. On the ordering page they even had flash movies of what it looked like. If people interested still bought it and or ignored what the thing looked like along knowing that and the timer ( most likely for novelty only) It's their money.

At least SE is making stuff for us, while some if it isn't the greatest, at least they aren't doing nothing. I'm sure it'll have its usefulness to some people as long as they don't leave it in their house like we tend to do with most event items.

Still 2 other items TBA, hold out on ones you aren't so thrilled about, maybe there will be at least one thing that sparks everyones interest. And anyway. this is a MMO. we like to collect crap, and they know it. ( And that a good chunk of people will pay silly money for it)
 
I like the robe funcionaility, i just don't like is 40hrs recast lol, but i guess is better then non-rechargable. Anyone else ordered it?
 
Who has the money for this kind of stuff? I don't know, personally I'd rather buy a bottle of belvedere or a pretty cardigan or something and get down with my bad self.

Well, at least it's a slimming colour and has coat tails - yay, I guess.
 
While they're not identical, they are similar.

If I'd put down the cash for the item and got this, I know I'd be pissed.

But, seeing the quality of the actual talisman purchased, It seems fitting that the in-game item also look like a cheap $2 knock-off made by children going blind in a third-world sweat shop.

Actually, there's only 1 item left, they announced some Shadow Lord statue for $300. Didn't even have something in the game, it's just a little statue. Unless that was a hoax, but I don't remember seeing anything about that.

For some reason I thought they said 5 items. Oh well. Also the statue was for pre-order on hobby link japan. Also was in the SE/POL mailing list thing. Says its for dec. release. Oct. 2nd is when the pre-orders from that website start.

I bought one. I also made Mushashi buy one too. Still haven't gotten our in-game item yet...

I still think this to be a fairly frivolous way to spend one's cash.

And yes, this is coming from someone who has, in the past, squandered hundreds on swords from films.

Not trying to say your expenditure is nothing, but my colleague has spent probably almost 10k on swords.
