Time Warner Cable

So I've been d/cing on and off every afternoon between 12 and 5 p.m. Somedays the connection works fine (rarely)... somedays I'm in a party and d/c 10 times. I call them today to complain, theyre sending someone out again (this is my 6th complaint and the second time I've had someone out for a supposed fix). All i can say is don't choose this company, pick a competitor or something, I can understand an occasional d/c maybe once per week but everyday over and over again during peak periods is ridiculous. Anyway hopefully Vox will be better when i switch in August. As for time warner... you can go eff yourself.

Do what most people do and threaten to switch to a satellite company (Or any other competitor for that matter). That usually gets them to fix the problem and they'll usually give you a free month of internet or a few free channels.

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I had serious cable problems when I moved into this new place. After several attempts someone finally figured out the problem and fixed it. Apparently in each house there's one "primary" cable outlet. The technician who got my cable working flawlessly just changed the primary outlet to the one I had my modem hooked up to and voila, it was perfect. I don't know the exact terminology or anything, but that's how he explained it to me.

I'm hoping this technician fixes the problem. The last one seemed more concerned with taking pictures of my basement. Which was wierd as all heck... house full of girls... washer and dryer right there with our underwear and such... I should have complained

I had a similar issue with comcast with my cable modem where it would just DC for no reason and try to resync itself. In the end I moved the cable modem and the router to another room with a cable line. I had the issue one time after I moved it and then it worked fine.

Time Warner happens to be the most reliable service I've ever had. Though, my worst experience came from a company, Charter, who was badass where I use to live. Maybe it's an area thing?

Hmm, I have Time Warner Cable and it's a rarity I ever d/c. You must have bad cables or something or services in our areas our different.

Comcast in Chattanooga, TN is wonderful. However their service elsewhere seems to suck major.

Service varies location to location - customer service should not.

Well DSL does suck quite a bit. I don't know about Time Warner, but Dish Network> Comcast.
