Anybody see this yet?

I went last night, and honestly, I loved it. It had some cornball lines, but it wouldn't have been Ninja Turtles w/o them. I had a problem with Splinter and The Foot Clan chick lead ninja's voices, but I thought the turtles' and Casey Jones' were pretty good.

The animation put a lot of people off, but I thought the Turtles looked awesome and was very pleased with how they were animated. I really dug the style of this one.

The story isn't gonna win any Oscars, but I liked it. All in all I thought it was a good return for the Turtles.

The only thing that bugged me was April. April was a ninja/architect and not a reporter. In the beginning she was Lara Croft. In the end she was Taki (Soul Calibur). At no point in the movie was she (insert famous reporter here).

Also, I felt like a six year-old asking for a ticket to "Ninja Turtles" when we got to the theatre. My friend and I were the oldest people there that weren't with children.

I enjoyed it. And computer-animated turtles beats live action turtles any day.

Haven't seen it yet but you brought up something alot of people i know didn't pick up on.

The animation models, at least in my opinion, resemble the original comics as opposed to the show we all grew up with. That gets a thumbs up in my book.

It's good to hear some good reviews on this one, i'm still kinda on the fence. I honestly prefer the older books and whatnot but i'm sure those aren't exactly family friendly for a movie going experience lol.

I loved it. Yeah, it was cheesy at times, but it was also dead-on in the feel of the original series. Complete win for nostalgia, but it's also a good enough movie for people who weren't fans of the series as kids.

There was one plot hole that I noticed, but it wasn't a big deal. Oh, and since when was April a ninja?

I saw this just last sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like the animation and effects better in this movie than the old ones but I liked the story of the old ones better. This one was a little to sci-fiish when you compare them to the older movies but I still liked it. I went to the late night showing so I was with older teenagers instead of kids. Me and my brother might of still been the oldest ones there (being in our 20s) but I didn't really look around thoroughly. Being a huge turtles fan growing up, this was like reliving my childhood so I had fun watching it. It brought out my inner child.

Are April's guns as big in the movie as they were in the show/games? Still wearing that skintight yellow jumper?

You guys skipped all the important details.

No jumper, but a skin-tight yellow ninja suit. Looking for a picture now.

Edit: Kinda small pictures, but the best I could find:

Yeah, and in the beginning she was dressed like Lara Croft. Lameness.

Rest of the movie was good times though.

do they have roller blades, skateboards and scooters....? I remember seeing them in a preview a while back... And I personally kinda dont like that lol.

Aw, gay. She looks more like the kid from The Incredibles than April.

The original April looks like a 22 year-old milf. This one I'd be afraid to see lapdancing in my dreams, for fear of the Dream Police locking me up.

yeah, but I mean the whole bunch of them, like the new cartoons. lol, its just kinda stupid when you have ninja turtles riding around on roller blades, scooters and w/e else they had.

Because it's young and hip! You know kids don't recognize anyone over 18 years old.

Mako was a great choice for the voice of Splinter, the same way he was a great voice for Uncle Iroh in Avatar: The Last Airbender and the narrator for The Mark of Kri. That old dude had a great voice.

That one, I'd hit. The rendered one in the movie... flacid+1.

The last time my penis was this limp was when Meeze dressed up like Sally Struthers (which actually only required him to change his socks).

God damn kids. Soon as they get involved in something, it sucks. How's that for a blanket statement?

I think it's pretty accurate.

I'd hit new April before I'd hit purple tank-top/sports-bra-thing April, though it is mostly because of what purple tank-top/sports-bra-thing April is wearing.

Here's a small group pic:

Yes, but if you'd hit that, she wouldn't be wearing it anymore, would she?
