I could have a PhD and still use the word fuck. What was the point you were trying to get accross? Mine was not to think your kid is a saint, and ignore and dirty words you might imagine a teenager learning from LS chatter. Stop living in a dreamworld, that shit is for Diabolos.

It's not that they don't want him to learn the words. Don't think them so naive that they don't realize he has heard them before. What they don't want is having someone hanging around who uses them liberously. It's a peer thing. My friend who never cussed came back from Army basic training cussing up a storm. Why? Because everyone he lived around for months did. So as the old saying goes, they didn't want him picking up bad habits.

Really, its a matter of maturity. Throwing cuss words around constantly shows a lack of it. Curse words are just words, but they hold meaning. Over use them, meaning fades and new words have to become cuss words. Imagine if everyone said "fuck" in every single sentence. Well it wouldn't mean mutch after a bit, so people would need a new word to express great frustration and anger. The old words just become garbage fill in words with no meaning such as when people say "uhhh", "and", "errr", "hmm" to fill gaps in their speech, which is wasteful and inefficient. Curse words should be reserved for moments of extreme emotion and feeling much like an exclamation point in English. If you ended every sentence with '!' it would lose meaning. However, by not using it profusely, it has greater meaning for the few moments you do use it. Same goes for cursing, use it less for increased effect.
 
If the other members of his LS hadn't been talking about how "laid back" they were, and how the average age was 30, and how they were comming up with sexual themed Christmas songs, I might believe them when they say they had problems with his language. Lude behavior seems to be in excess, how they can hold it against him is beyond me. They set a standard and when he followed it he was given the boot.
When I first read this thread, I first thought that Thinkkaman was just blowing smoke. I mean if you keep getting kicked outta LS, chances are the problem is you, not everyone else, but everytime people from these LS respond to the thread, I find myself retracting my previous belief. I mean, if they don't like the guy, they could just say so and be done with it. Instead they make up reasons that they themselves violate, or are just unrealistic. My opinion of these LS would have been better had they not responded at all.
 
you completely missed the point of why he was kicked out. it was not his use of his laugauge but his insulting words towards annother pLS member . We like to be fun and light hearted about things while we play but we know where to draw the line when talking to other LS people.
 
Basically, SoulDevourers is a linkshell of 40+ year olds with nothing better on their hands than to talk about how they just scored with their girl and get mad at young whippersnappers like myself.
I didn't throw out curse words, I didn't directly insult Ihealpeople... Well, okay maybe I did but it was only jokes about how he's never done anything but party party party; but he agreed with it 100%.

This thread's getting kinda comical because obviously someone from the LS saw the thread and told the LS and now everyone's posting against me. Enough with your underleveled subjobs, SoulDevourers.
By the way, I forgot the name Aunna in the list of cool people in that linkshell. Him and Phovion were two of the non-noobs in the LS.

If thats all your problem is then why add all the rest? I dunno, sounds to me like you're confused. Either that, or your LS needs less people explaining why he was kicked, so you stand a chance of giving a more uniform excuse. I've never felt he shouldn't have been kicked, it sounded pretty unanimous, but I always appose a bullshit excuse. Only reason I care is because I know it would bother me to be in his shoes.

Thanks bro. It doesn't really bother me anymore. This flame was more of a general thing about everyone that spazzes out; that just happened to be kinda the last straw before I flamed it.

According to Aewynn, 10 people voted against me, 3 people didn't vote at all. It doesn't really make me feel bad since everyone in the LS was one of three things:
1. Spaz
2. Noob
3. Underleveled subjob
But everyone there was:
1. People 40+ years old haha

That makes me think of WoW, where 90% of the game's population was like 50 year old parents and if you swore they'd call a GM on your ass so hard...

By the way, SoulDevourers, I don't hate you guys. You got it all wrong. I'm just simply stating that the reason I was asked to leave the LS was because Ihealpeople took "your mom" too seriously.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but it's a general flame and anyone's welcome to put their spaz-encounters on here. I just remembered a party I was in as WAR in Valkurm once. I said "Holy cow!!" and the person gave me a /tell saying not to be rude. I asked her what I said, and she told me she was going to kick me. I asked what again, and she told me that she doesn't worship cows, so one more rude remark and she was going to kick me.

Her boyfriend was a power leveler and he wasn't that bad. MNK/WHM is better than no P'Lv at all, especially when everyone in your party is somewhat veteran already. Anyway, at the end of the party, her boyfriend and her were going to Jeuno to start leveling in Qufim and they said they'd help the rest of us out getting there too. They ended up teleporting us to Dem and leaving us there. The whole party had to spend like 15 minutes running back to the camp, then like half an hour to find a replacement. I wish I could remember her name, but it's just another spaz scenario.

Careful what you say- if you run into a woman that calls a GM on you for saying "holy cow" it's that person.

lol, just had another encounter with a spaz. From that bullshit linkshell Constantine no doubt. I told him about what they did to me all that time ago, and he told me "don't dis my linkshell"... He joined our Lv11-13 party. He was PLD/WAR and he brought a WHM/BLM power level with him. He's been playing atleast 5 months to this date so I'd expect better. After he told me not to dis Constantine, he went out and pulled a lizard, they linked so there were 5 lizards by the time he got there. Needless to say, both our WHM and our SMN were killed and the rest of us had to zone. After we all got back to the camp, we were talking about how that could have been prevented. Two ways:
1. He could have zoned it or taken the fall for his team mates.
2. He could have gotten the WHM to cast Diaga and steal all of them so we wouldn't die so easily.
Of course, he starts talking about how Diaga would be useless and that it would be better if he used Banishga II. My argument here was that Banishga2 takes way too long to cast, and everyone would have been dead by then anyway. Then he starts saying how "unless they really suck, no one would die in four seconds"... when you think about it- there's 5 lizards, each hitting for about 40-50 HP each hit, each hit having about 2 second interval. That's an enormous number of damage. Then he starts going on about how he didn't die that fast, and he said that WHM would actually take less damage than himself so there's no way on earth they wouldn't survive.
The PLD/WAR's name was Nuke.
The WHM/BLM P'Lv's name was Onionmage
Both from the LS Constantine. lol
