So my family recently moved to North america from England. so it already hasn't been peachy FF wise since WotG was released and i had to scrounge for a CD key which was kinda annoying.

Also the fact that if i do HAVE a problem with something i have to contact the EU POL service which is based on GMT time which is 5 hours ahead of me, and they close at 6pm GMT which is around 1pm here and i have classes till 1pm in school.

My eu card which my account is linked to also runs out of Money this month.

what i am basically trying to get at is you guys' opinion on if i should go out and buy a Vanadiel collection 08 and restart as an NA player?

right now i am 75:25 in terms of restarting

the only thing holding me back is my dear beloved elvaan i spent so much time getting things for, like the avatars for summoner, which is no easy feat to get fame that high.

i wouldn't mind doing CoP again, thats the only thing i am QUITE far in, the only thing making me not right now is the fact i have a booming ls and what not XD.

so could you guys help me ; ;

I'm sure if you contacted PoL NA and told them that you're a EU user that just moved to NA with an expiring CC they can do something.

tried, he then told me to contact EU pol and couldn't do anything. my first question to him was "i can't register WotG" he told me i was EU to which i said "Can i not transfer" and got a No i can't help you call EU...coz you know...its so cheap XD

If you install the NA version of the game, I don't think you need to restart your characters at all, since I do not think there is a restriction that states you cannot access characters created on an EU/JP/NA account on an account based elsewhere?

your right, but see i downloaded the NA playonline viewer, and there was recently a password change thing to make the passwords you have longer, because i had the NA Pol viewer it didn't recognise my login and wouldn't change my password, so i had to download the EU one.

And If i want to register more expansions let alone install them, i will need the EU discs. like when i bought WotG i tried installing it, having my EU discs pre-installed and what not, the disc told me to install FFXI first and shut itself down

You can play an EU character on the NA version of the game, but it will forever be an EU Account (and you'll still require an EU code to register for every expansion). I have an NA character (there was no EU version when I started), and its a bit of a pain every expansion, but I wouldn't restart if you like your character. It's not like you use the Help Line everyday anyway (I've still never used it and I'm not even sure I can...).

If the NA version isn't accepting shorter passwords anymore, you should still be able to change it to 8 characters in your EU version and it should load fine.

All I know is, I hope I never have to actually CALL the helpdesk.

Overseas phone bills will kill me.

Expansions wise, it's not a problem for me since the shops here bring in the NA version by default. Unless you specify that you want an EU/JP version and then they'll tell you if they can do it.

where do you live altheya? EB games is pretty much shit

ah ok, well your still lucky as you can still get the expansion from your local gameshop, but important from england or the eu is very expensive since the currency is stronger than canadas

If you dont want to ring you can try the EU webchat. Its not the best solution but maybe can help you avoiding a high phone bill :/

the chats also have time restraints...which kinda sucks lol, and when i talked to NA pol the guy said there was no way they can transfer an EU player to their NA database...i think it has to do with cd keys and stuff but w/e

yea, thats true but its open from 9am - 6pm GMT.. thats 9 hours... I am sure there is a change to use that...

my day

wake up at 6 (sluggish)
shower and get ready for school
get on the bus at 7 or be late to class
arrive to school at 7:50, 10 mins to walk to class
8-3 classes
with a one hour break in which i study in anyway.

canada =5 hours behind GMT

3+5 = 8pm ; ;

long distance phone call also = major phone bill, and ranting parents.
