Have anyone on this board tried one yet?

I've seen posts on other forums, where people talk about a burst 2 for 1600 dmg... thats like, what the hell???
I hope he did it naked, and no merits in thunder potency.

Well you have to remember, they are not only a lot less MP, but they are near half the cast time, making them viable burstable spells. You can't expect them to do unholy damage on top of these improvements. Tier II of the spell doesn't necesarily mean eleventy-billion more damage per nuke. Efficiency comes to mind.
 
If I can do the same damage as Thundaga 3 or higher, I will be one happy taru.
 
With the magic resistance build on NMs, AMII might be worthwhile to use to reduce their resist rates. And was the 1600 Un-MBed? If it wasn't MBed, then 1600 aint bad at all...

Oh I know that. But considering a Thunder 4 can easily hit 1300 dmg, you would think AM2 would do more than 300 dmg higher.

Heck, on lightningday, I do a constant 1357 dmg Thunder 4 on Ebony puddings, for only 171 mp.

Guess I'll save my merits, until someone actually find a use for theese.. :irked:

How much mp did it cost?
What was cast time?

Ya, the new AM2 are cool, but I don't think they really life-changing. As said above, I think ya, they will be considerable damage, but it's more toward efficiency. Yes, they will probably 99% do more than tier4/-agaIII, but they won't be like 40584305348 more damage. Maybe like 100-300.
 
I believe the damage from the AM2 is increased only on an MB.
