Okay, so I finally got around to playing Xenosaga Episode 2. At first I didn't like it, so I put it away, but I finally decided to give it another chance. Once I got familiar with the massive changes to the battle system, I started to really enjoy it.

Anyhow. I finished the tough battle at the end of disc one, get ready to enjoy a nice cutscene before the disc change... and the movie freezes! ;_;

Anyhow, I had to pause and skip the movie scene (You can do that in XS 1 and 2, just like in FFX-2) to get to the next disc.

I looked at the disc after the swap and there's a tiny scratch near the rim. THIS GAME SAT ON MY SHELF FOR 10 MONTHS! That's all! I didn't loan it to anyone, it sat there until I decided to play it. How did it get scratched!

(I blame Anttaru. Bastard.)

(When we defile other peoples collectables they are not likely to use ever, it's best to remain silent about it ._.
)

I took care of my Soul Caliber II GC disc, and always checked it to make sure it remained mint.

One of my roommates is involved in some big brother program and now and then he brings this kid over to the house. he played Soul Caliber II and liked it, and when his mother came to pick him up, she wrote the name of the game on a peice of paper and promised her son she would buy it for him.

Week later the boy comes over again and i find a Soul Caliber II disc case that reads along the top "Greatest Hits". I open it up and look inside to see there is no disc in the case. The Kid was like "Oh my mom is at home playing SCII right now. I'm thinking to myself there has to be a reason why he brang this case over here.

When he leaves i check up on my Soul Caliber and i find a scuff mark on the face. I put the game in the system and it ran just fine, except when you try to use Link, the game crashes. So me and my other Roommate are pissed cause we love Soul Caliber and the other Roommate would not believe that this kid lied to our face and swaped our Perfect SC Disc with his used up peice of shyte system whore greatest hits disc.

That's funny...
This happened with my copy of Xenosaga 1... I didn't play it for a few months, it just sat on my shelf... I finally take it off and try to play it, and it doesn't work. At all.
I've since checked the disc, and honestly can't figure out what the problem is. Worst part is that all my other games work fine. Oh well :/

its funny how i have a xenosaga 1 disk and its COMPLETLY scratched and it works with no problems

Maybe the game companies will get a frigging clue and provide enclosed discs (Like 3.5 floppies are) as the medium for their next systems...

Probably not.

That is the best Idea I have heard in 728 days.

Yep you'd think they would do something smart like that. Instead they make it worse. Now discs are beginning to get smaller, making them easier to lose ontop of still being scratchable.

The joys of expensive technology.

I think you need to replace the batteries

Out of curiousity, what was the last one?

Yea... now I'm curious.
