You just joined the fucking site. To the people who have been here since 04' 05' which i have, it is annoying to see some outsider who no one likes come in and change the site. Like Garvin said, it is Sculli's revenge from the dead.

I often times question public school systems here in America when he types. It's not even typos but the overall ass raping that grammar takes with his posts. It's almost cruel.

Let's be fair though, it's more coherent than 99% of the flameboard, and I like to feel this has made more progress than 99% of the flame board.

It's times like this thread where I wish we had a moderator team similar to that on the Ubuntu Forums - I have never seen more banhammers being thrown about on any other forum.
 
Presidency and online forums are different... Bush, even though he isnt the most wonderful president weve had, weve definitely had worse. And whats better, look at the competition bush had, lol.... Also, he was elected at a shitty time. No matter which president we wouldve got, we would have had a bad time. Im still dreading the upcoming obama/hillary... Disgusting.

The Bush comparison doesn't really work. It's more like someone lets you stay in their apartment for free after they bought it from the previous owner, then you get pissed at them for putting in new carpet because you were there first. Well, they own the apartment so they can burn it down if they feel like it and you shouldn't really bitch because hey, at least you got a few years of rent-free living!

It's fine to let them know you don't like the changes, but doing it in a respectful way wouldn't kill you. Insulting people and throwing a temper tantrum will only make people think that you have nothing important to say, because who listens to someone throwing a tantrum? I know I don't.

You could voice your opinion fully in FF+S also. You just have to put a bigger filter between your brain and your mouth.

It's not that difficult.
 
It's Reeve's forum, so he can do with it as he pleases.

The value of his asset, this website, is directly related to the number of hits it generates, and therefore its potential advertising revenue stream.

So he provides the forum, and we provide the hits. Win win.

I don't think that's entirely an apt analogy either. If Reeve unexpectedly shut the site down and replaced the frontpage with a big image of the atomic bomb middle finger, then it would be similar.

wait, nevermind, i misread it as the owner burning the apartment down while you still lived in it.

I think it's closer to someone renting an apartment, bitching about the paint peeling on the walls but not offering to paint it themselves because "it's not my apartment", and then bitching further when the landlord/owner paints it Government Grey.

Things like this continually reaffirm the great amount of respect I have for you.
 
If this happened in the feedback forum, it would have gone unnoticed for a long time, (Feedback is all the way down the bottom, flameboard has far more traffic), then shortly after getting noticed, it would have been moved here anyway due to the aggressive nature of each side. So in all honesty, we saved the admins/mods the job of moving it.
