This is a thread that makes me want an edit button, and simultaneously makes me feel like Wolfskymoon.

Even if he paid $5 a month for this site, it's his money. What business is it of yours, or anyone else's, what the amount is? If it was a measly sum of $5/month, that'd be even more reason for me to say "piss off and go buy your own site, with blackjack and hookers".
 
I say Reeve gives the site to one of the people whos unhappy with his performance. In full, bills and all.

I can understand wanting people to use site features you've spent time developing. And, to be fair, I don't think we've seen a large surge of blog activity, and they are no longer at the top. I actually preferred having the most recent posts at the top, but its not really a big deal that it got moved back.

Things that were changed were mostly asthetic. There isn't anything that was changed (that I'm aware of) that impairs your ability to utilize the board. I can still read, respond, use my VMs, PMs, and rep up, so, again, I really don't understand what the big deal is.

To Tristam: You found the need to single me out, yet look at the thread in Support where this all started. I am just the one to call him out, there was a very large number of people who were also complaining about Reeve coming back from the dead.

Ok and Sculli got it from Pupusa point being? At least he lets you keep the FB and does not run this board like a prison yard.

That what I got out of what Garm was trying to say. He was very vauge at the details. If what he was trying to do was like how Allakhazam does it which have 16 sites linked that would be livable if it would mean he would be able to make a profit from it. Is he supposed to run these boards for free for perfect strangers? Did you ever think with bigger revenue that maybe we could get more support help and maybe more eye candies which you all love?


I mean if you honestly don't like these boards you could leave there no one keeping you here and if you really going bicker at where the forums are based at or call him out on him making changes to his site. At the end of the day he could decide to shut this site down then where would we be?

Secondly it not that you called him out on a problem it the way you called him out, people tend to get better responses from sugar then vinegar. Considering he hang these forums on a click of a button may want to be more prudence on the words you use.

I believe this counts as a personal attack, Non-FFXI related, agaisnt the owner of the site. Yet, the thread keeps going on. I believe he is being pretty considerate about this thread.
 
Hi guys,

Let me be the first to say that I love doing what I do here. I enjoy being co-admin with Arctyrael working directly under Reeve. Reeve is a very good guy to work for. Him and I often talk about the future of the site, what we want to see, what he wants to see, etc. I do my best to go off with what he wants, which is why you see good things around here.

If you have a problem with things, please feel free to bring them up in the support area and make suggestions and things are usually better handled.

With that, have a good 4th to those who are celebrating it. I'm off to NC and will be back Monday. /shameless plug.

and iirc the popular vote is what influences the electoral college's vote, the electors are to vote for whomever the popular vote favors

The electors are to vote for whomever they want to. Most of the time they do side with the popular vote. It should influence the electoral college but it doesn't always. We have electors for a reason.

This is a bad thread and you should feel bad.
 
I have no problem with how the site is run or the changes, like i said before i like the new skin. However I would have a problem if we were to ever merge community with say SO like what was talked about in Grems post. As long as that doesn't happen its all good.

The flameboard is open for all flames, not just FFXI related. Also the "Personal Kicks" is in reference to "RL Info". So this flame is legit.
 
Kelyon, if you dont like it, make your own forums. Noones forcing you to come here and make idiotic posts all day/every day.
 
Considering the owner is open-minded enough to allow such a flame concerning him keep going and still keeps trying to make this place a better forum for us all. I'd say its in good hands personally.

People would be a lot more upset if free speech was taken away altogether. Enjoy what you have cause I've seen some of the other FF forums out there and frankly you have it pretty good here.

One thing that I learned in customer service is people love to complain. One thing I learned in life is that whining never solved anything. I have to agree with Jeska, the fact that this thread is allowed to continue shows something of it's management.

I'll admit that I prefered the old color scheme, but after getting used to this one I don't see anything wrong with it. Naturally, though, I'm getting what I pay for~ and considering I've not contributed to the upkeep of this site... I'm getting a lot.
