I have to wonder if it would've stayed if it had something really incriminating against Reeve and co., like the one in the above quote did.

Theres nothing lol. I was just pointing out "letting this flame stay" isn't that big of a show off anything.
 
All of the people who are saying it's dumb to flame Reeve need to get off his jock. There's absolutely nothing wrong with flaming him. We can flame anyone we want to and he's doing it on the appropriate board and following the guidelines. You can knock his argument if you want to (and I don't agree with this current flame even though I myself have flamed Reeve in the past), but saying he shouldn't be flaming Reeve just because he's the admin or because he provides this service to us out of his pocket is stupid.
 
We should flame Rappa for trying to make a valid argument.

There a old saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you." Disagree with change is fine but telling him leave his own board or give him shit for trying make these forums better is uncalled for, and there is a diffrence from giving a person shit and disagreeing. Which by your post you see that, by saying you don't agree with this current flame.

It's indeed fucking stupid when the flame itself against him is fucking retarded. If it's something actually serious, and needs to be fixed or changed, I believe there's a support area to contact Admins and Moderators? Which would be more suitable.

To clarify more... because on somethings, I do agree with you.

You can flame him, I'm not against him. I still feel it's wrong to do it when it's forum related and I see he has done nothing wrong.

I don't agree on flaming him about how he runs the board/forum, already have stated the reasons.

If it's something technical, suggestions, etc. there's a better place for that rather than the flameboard.

Yeah. We can read just fine.

I wasn't saying that it's "not okay to flame your resident admins". It's fine when they actually do something worth flaming over. Changing a skin on a website is not a forum-threatening emergency. Changing the content of the site entirely would be. If Reeve had suddenly renamed QCDN.org to stand for "Quit Calling Dumbasses Names" and instituted an entirely new repertoire of rules, then yeah; he'd get what's coming to him.

Likewise, it wasn't so much the fact that something was being brought into awareness. It was more the manner in which it was done, and the fact that it was effectively a rehash of something already existent, and not locked, that resided in the section of the forums that it actually belonged in.

Erm... not retarted because he is the admin, retarted because he is the owner of a site people use for free. Flaming him on forum related things or how he runs the forum is dumb. This is a private forum with the entrance and exit door always opened.
