1. No they haven't. You just skipped over the ones that showed how stupid of a flame you made.

2. No you wouldn't. At least be realistic like Garvin when you make claims like this.

3. I remember when QCDN was only about FFXI, none of this other shit like WoW, AoC, or other videogame sections. Change is not always bad. How long has this skin been active? Give things a chance before you jump out at things.

I hated this new skin at first too, but now its the only one i use. With the only complaint being that the extra rep dots are still the ugly gold/yellow color.

Actually quite the opposite. People are saying you shouldn't flame Reeve because he's the admin here. I'm saying that it's dumb to give anyone in the community "flame immunity" for any reason. I think this topic's dumb, but I think that every topic in the past 3+ months posted on the flameboard has been dumb. If being a worthless flame is a problem, let's just purge this board completely.

So again to summarize: lame topic, but the target is perfectly acceptable. BTW if you want to read an awesome Reeve flame, check this one!

Just clarify for those that was not around back them, that was over 18 months ago and before he turn over full admin to the use to be head mod CmdrFly.

No one is going to let it go. It was a bullshit move on his part. I miss Cmdr as Admin, i also miss Ele. I am happy with Miros. Miros has been heading up QCDN publicly from what i have seen since i can't view the mod/admin forum. Why do we even need Reeve, all i really see him doing is footing the bill.


To Make, don't tell me what i would and would not do. QCDN has given me a lot, and i would no doubt, if it was reasonable, pay for it monthly for the server. I have for other sites.
 
Tyrath.. where as comparing and contrasting may not be important to some, I'd like to stress that in the majority of forum/websites out there noone seems to feel that they have the right to complain about a layout. Here they at least think they should have a say verses just stop going to a site they don't like. On the web people's voices are their clicks... noone is forcing anyone to come to qcdn. The fact that this forum allows its community to have imput, whether not excepted or not, shows something.

It was not hit on the mods or miro I was saying that it was before reeves started handing out full admin though and hence why the problem existed. That being said was a valid flame.

From a lurker's point of view, a lot of the things that the mods and admins do make little sense to me in general (even miros, as much as I <3 him). LJ blogs are infinitely better than what's here. I don't understand the rep system at all. The new theme sucks. The new theme before that sucked. Being stuck on a myspace-ish start page at the root qcdn.org instead of a forum index sucked. My red mage icon thingy looks retarded. Etc. But maybe that's why I only lurk for the most part. :x

It doesn't matter who he was talking about. It's the same stuff, just happening to a different administrator.

I think comparing Sculli to people like Miros isn't possible. Also, Reeve is just like a less active sculli.

He wasn't comparing Sculli to Miros. He was comparing the situations, which are identical, except that Reeve hasn't given this site the proverbial "fuck off" and hired someone to take over entirely.

Just for FYI, Miros was a mod and asked for admin to "check out the code" and then never gave it up... He wasn't appointed by Reeve, just a small difference in details.

Reeve puts a lot of ideas out there, but because of reactions like this he mostly doesn't post them publicly. Cmdr and Ele had their own reasons to step down.

I can very easily say what you wouldn't do, because you haven't been doing it. QCDN has Jr. and Sr. premium memberships that you pay for to get extra things. You haven't been doing it so far so why would you change.

Mod abuse edit in: Kelyon is on read only again? That's a shame.
