Am I the only one who likes to replay certain games every so often (Even if I dont go all the way through on the second... or seventh... time.) I mean, I'm just going back through FFX for the... fourth time, I think, and then I plan to play through Xenogears again.

Am I the only one like this?

For some reason, the smell of spring makes me want to replay FF7. I'm not kidding. As soon as the snow melts & the grass starts growing again I'm with Cloud & his bunch. D:

For me it really depends on the game. FF7-X are pretty much easy to pick up and either play through again or hit the X-game (just keep on playing past the storyline) for kicks. I still haven't unlocked everything on timesplitters out of my personal collection of a whole 5 xbox games >< Unfortunately alot of games just end up as rents for me because it's hard to find a game that A: has length to it or B: has playable content outside of the storyline. Takes a week to get through them tops and then back to the video store for it. If more games came out with a sizable portion of content i'd say not only would i replay more games i'd actually bother buying a few :/

I dont play a whole lot of games over again... Usually them and dont touch them again.

But a couple of games I HAVE replayed are:

A Link To The Past
Ocarina of Time
Wind Waker (just because I had cool pajamas the second time lol)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (thats a given)
PSO
Tales of Symphonia
Goldeneye
(a couple others, but this is the bulk)

If the game has replay value, definitely. Examples:

Half-Life2 - no replay value, unfortunately. Ran through it a second time and it was still good, but not nearly as staggering as the first time.

Oblivion - I haven't put this down for the past 7 months or so. Nearly limitless replay value. Beat all the guilds but I still play it as much as I used to.

Painkiller - f_cking tarot cards! Haven't put this one down since I got it, but it's a rare play for me these days.

Postal 2 - I don't think I'll ever get tired of peeing on someone until they keel over to puke, running behind them, then blasting them up the poop chute with a shotgun.

RPGs are tough to replay from the beginning for me. There's just so much story to most of them and going around talking to all the people to hear things I've already heard, just doesn't appeal to me.

I really liked this game when I got it, but i thought it was too easy, so I never bothered to finish it.

Ontopic:

Once in a while, I'll replay certain parts of games. DMC 2 sucked hard, but I must have played the Bloody Palace mode a hundred times. Whenever I try to replay an RPG, I usually lose steam 1/4 way through.

Ocarnia of Time and Chrono Cross are the only games I have replayed more than twice. However thanks to New GAme +, Chrono Cross becomes insanely easy third time through.

Ive replayed most FFs again, along with Halo CE (because that story is actually fun, and speed runs), and Oblivion is fun no matter where you are in that game... I seriously think i have walked every square foot of that world.

Did you manage to kill the final boss? Took me a couple of hours to get that mother f_cker. But even since I've technically rapped the game, it's still fun as hell to go back through all the levels and try to get all the cards. Plus stapling dudes to the wall with the Stake Launcher will never get old.

You seen that fully-explored map of Cyrodill? I shit my pants. I thought I'd explored almost the whole world, then I saw that picture. I haven't been to half the places they show.

I just played through 3/4 of Earthbound and 3/4 of Secret of Mana, while LFG over the past week or so. Chrono Trigger, Mario 64, and FFVII and IX are other games that i could play once every few years for the rest of my life. Call me a fan-boy...oh well.

I was about |--| <-This close to pulling out my Gameboy and firing up a new Pokemon game too, but that might have been going a little too far.

Often. Have currently been in replay mode as most new games suck. I think in the last few months I've gone through FF7, FF9, FF10, Xenogears, Arc the Lad 1, 2, 3, and Chrono Cross. Planning to do legend of dragoon and FF8 soon.

Ive always wanted to play oblivion, but I dont think my PC specs can handle it + I dont gotta 360 D:

Same with me :(

eh...it depends. I play games like the MGS series alot, as well as FF games, and some other cool rpgs(Lunar, in which they need another title for the series -.-)(Breath of Fire series).

Otherwise i play games like Spider-Man 2 and all that occasionally

Far too many games in my collection to list that I actually replay, but I have to say that Blaster Master is by far one of my favorite games to replay, no matter how many times I beat it, the challenge is still there. FF6 on the other hand, I just love that game, first FF I ever saw/liked, I'll replay that any time on a whim if I have the time to do so, I still remember everything except the time on the clock in Zozo, I transpose numbers a lot ^^; (12:10:50?)

FFVII (like 2 or 3 times) and EarthBound (Jesus, maybe 8 times?) are really the only ones, RPG wise.

omg oblivion, i finally got every achievement in that game recently and theres still so damn much to do!!

The only FF's that ive played more than once all the way through are FF6 and FF8*beat it 6 times now and still cant get enough*
i have ALOT of games that i havent finished or even started yet, FF12 being one of them.
Replayed halo and halo 2 too many times to count
Gears of war i have replayed many times on every difficulty
Too many emulated games to count, i love running through mario 64 over and over again

The first time I ever played LoZ: LttP, I was like 12 and It was summer time. My mom had put one of those glade plug-in things in my room. I don't know what kind it was, but it had a very distinct smell, and it was in my room the entire 1st time through the game. To this day, when I smell that scent, I think of Zelda, particularly the Ice level (6?) and what a pain in my ass it was the first time through.

I've played through that game so many times I can go through, get everything and beat gannon in just under 6 hours. I have done it without a game over 3 times, and one time I did it without using a single fairy.
