Let me preface this by saying yes, this is sour grapes. The mention of Steve Bartman makes me want to fucking punch a wall. What I'm watching on FOX right now is what I should have been watching 2 years ago. Anyway.

Your win tonight only gives me solace because it's only going to force the Cubs to get off their asses and make a real team next year. It also gives me solace that a full 75-80% of the city and the 'burbs could give less than a shit about the Sox, as it has always been and probably always will be.

I give a begrudging congrats, but I hope you get swept in the Series.

Ive went to more Chicago Fire games than I've seen Chicago White Sox games. ;)

YAY! Sox rule Cubs drool! Actually I root for all Chicago teams but when it comes to baseball I am a Sox fan at heart. I'm originally from the Houston area so they are the only team that I wouldn't be devistated if they beat the Sox.

The Yankees pitching staff payroll is greater than that of the entire White Sox team. So to hell with the Yankees.

I am a Southside Cubs fan and though I wish it were the Cubs I cannot help but cheer on the Chicago White Sox. Especially against the likes of Houston or St.Louis.

And Cubswoo, don't cry Bartman. I think Alex Gonzalez's error on that double play ball, or Dumpy Baker's horrible managerial skills that caused the demise in that series.

The difference between most Cubs fans and Sox fans is that the Cubs fans don't hate the Sox, but the Sox fans hate the Cubs - kind of a jealousy thing.

Ok i'm going to put my 2 cents in and well Cubswoo if the Red Sox can win a World Series then hell the Chicago Cubs should be able to. It just that Dusty Baker needs to get his head out of his ass and get him some quality players. Why in the hell would trade away Slammin' Sammy? They have a good pitching staff but it just that they like to over use them how many times have Pior and Wood been injuried in the last year or so?

I mean I have been a St. Louis Cardinals fan and I just hopping and praying that we win tonight, but I don't see that happening and my best friend is a big Chicago White Sox fan and he is just happy that they made it to the World Series and he is a Cardinals fan also. He said if it came down to St. Louis and the White Sox he would be cheering for the White Sox :roll:

Oh and my g/f, her mom and my Uncle are big Chicago Cubs fans so it's kind of funny that me and my g/f can get a long since i'm a Cardinals fan lol. But let's just give the Cubs the payroll of the Yankees and see how they do next year :twisted:
 
Why trade Slammin' Sammy? Thank God for the Cubs they did. Jeromy Burnitz had a much better season than Sammy did.
 
And Dusty Baker has quality players, he just doesn't know what to do with them.

meh chicago win in sports? is this a joke havent seen anybig victories here since phil jackson was coach of the bulls ..... however being born n raised in chicago i can only say this , everyone laughed at the whitesox when we clenched playoffs so on behalf of chicagoans id like to say kiss our ass and the yankees suck :p
