To the people that bought Retrace from AH....

People are lazy, and their time is important to them even if their gil isnt, the 1-3 hours to quest those scrolls isnt everyone's favourite way to spend time on the game.

Oh.. and retrace made the other quests go extremely fast.

Sure did. My friend and I quested all 4 but we did retrace first so we could speed things up.

Begin flame kill:

I dont have the expansion, so the only way I can get it is if I buy it from the AH

Players who don't have the expansion but want to help their friends who do, well, they have no choice but to pay the obscene prices. Besides, this flame really isn't a flame at all, more of a "I don't get it, can someone explain it" since it's not targeting any specific person. But none-the-less, the quote says it all.

I have a 72 whm and let's say I didn't have the expansion (which I do but for sake of reasoning) and my LS mates wanted to go to Jugner Forest (S), well, I'd be powerless to help. So I go to the AH and buy the scroll; yes, I had to pay for it, but now I can teleport my LS to the past and save them time.

So overall, yes, there will be people who value time over money, and usually it's either because they are high lvl crafters or gilbuyers. The crafters can make that back in a day's work and the gilbuyers, well, their internet will recoup theirs. Well, and the pure lazy too =P

End flame kill.

I went as Whm/blm with no powders. I aggro'd a single bomb and just ran the 5 feet to the zone when I was done. I don't see how people had issues with that.
If this gimp can do it, you really have no excuse to fail.

not everyone is a super-nerd, .dat mining and finding out about every detail of an update at the first moment possible. they prolly bought it simply because it was there and they wanted it. its not uncommon for people to buy a spell initially but quest and sell it later.
and if you're gonna bitch about people paying too much gil for something they can obtain on there own, i'd thing the Easter Event is a much better target. I actually remember a time when people would TRADE eggs with each other to help each other out. Its seems now-a-days the idea of helping your fellow player with out making some sort of profit is unfathomable. 5k an egg? lmao lame.

sorry, i rambled, i haven't slept in days. :)

I lol'd. I have paid 1k in teleports to gather eggs from mine and Stine's mules so I can get the new national eggs.

I've MADE 8k by selling eggs, and that was 2 eggs last night.

Tell me: why *shouldn't* she and I make money off of the lazy?

You forget that there is also a rank requirement, some people don't like campaign so they don't do it. Then as said above there are the people that are lazy don't want to do quest figure by now sell later, and people that don't have the expansion at all but have so they can give to people that want to go to the pass.

If you're making a profit off the lazy, by all means, continue to do so. I believe the 'flame' is more-so being directed at the idiots willing to fork out gil for items that are obtainable basically for free, or, in the case of Easter Eggs, COMPLETELY FREE as well as disgustingly easy to get.

Shhhhh, quit messing with my get rich quick scheme I made my first mil years ago thank to this event.

I bought easter eggs because I've done this stupid event 3-4 years in a row now and just want my furniture. Eggs may be free but they're time consuming to get - and as much fun as it is to stand in a zone shouting for hours, I'll pay my gil and go about my business.

Doesn't .DAY mining just tell you what items/quests/abilities/gear/monsters are being added and not how to do the quest and where to go for the quest?

If you were smart you would have bought Retrace, used it to save time doing the quest, and then sold the quested scroll.
