ToAU has been out for well over a year, correct?

But for how long this has been around, I'd like to think that most people have some sort of free time that they can take 5 minutes out of their life to get something, even if it may only be useful every once in a blue moon. You said how easy it is to get there, why would it be that much harder to run into the Staging Point, touch the little teleporter, and be done with it forever? The only difficult one is Arrapago Reef, and I agree that yes, other than assault that one is pretty useless, so I guess I should have said "5/6 or gtfo!"

Yeah, it only takes about 15 minutes tops to get each one. I was not defending them for not having them, I was just making the reason why I didn't have them all until recently. If you do assault, or have a job that can exp in those areas then, yes, you should have them. Oh, and btw Ilrusi Atoll was my first one and Mamook was the last one I got LOL.

Peace,
Shmed

Nyzul: Walk/choco out of Whitegate to Bhaflau, enter Alzadaal, wiggle your way to staging point, done. Zero risk unless you're walking through Bhaflau.

Halvung: Walk/choco out of Whitegate to Wajaom, pick up choco along the way if you were walking, enter Halvung, Escape if BLM or /BLM, or walk short distance to nearby zone, walk to staging point. No significant risks.

Azouph: Go to Nyzul, take portals appropriately to pop out east of Nashmau, walk to staging point. Mild risk from true sight imps, but often there's one or more parties on a murdering spree keeping their population down.

Periqia: Go to Nyzul, take portals appropriately to pop out on Dvucca, walk to staging point. Mild risk from a true sight imp or two.

Ilrusi: Go to Periqia, walk to Arrapago, long walk to staging point. Only two points of risk: a (unlocked) door near the entrance (wait for nearby lamia to turn away before dropping invis to open it), and true sight imps near the staging point. May need to watch for (true sight) NMs but I don't recall any being on the way.

Mamool Ja: Walk/choco from Whitegate to Mamook, moderately long walk through zone. Poroggos can be avoided depending on entrance and route, or you can use the strange liquid to disguise yourself from them. Nothing else on the way is true sight and thus risky (again, same note on NMs as for Ilrusi). Quick and painless walk through MJSP area to staging point after zoning back into Bhaflau.

Ilrusi and Mamool Ja have the biggest risk, and even they aren't that bad (certainly a cakewalk to anyone who's made remotely any CoP progress), and can probably be done within half an hour each. The rest take significantly less time.

i had a party the other day (going to kuftal to level in the 50's) and a person (rank 8) had to leave because they didn't have Altep Tele-Crystal. i laughed in my room for a good 2 minutes.

Which makes more sense? For the 1 person who doesn't have the staging points, to take advantage of all their party-seeking time to go get them on their own time without bothering anyone else? Or for the 5 people who do have the staging points, to be delayed and inconvenienced by the 1 lazy and/or ignorant person who doesn't have them?

It's perfectly fine, in my book, not to have them, so long as you're willing to accept the consequences of that, which can include such things as being booted or flamed. People will expect party members to have them, since it's really *not* an unreasonable expectation. (Sorry, but staging points aren't this mysterious and vague concept you'd never *ever* hear about unless you nosed around internet forums for "secrets". They're basically common knowledge.) They will react appropriately to those who disappoint those reasonable expectations.
While yes turning down the player invite would be except able and quite frankly I would most likely do the same depending on how much time the party has. However I don't think it warrant a flame. Also to say the person is "lazy" "ignorant" is somewhat far fetched. First off it don't take that long to level up these days in fact this probably part of the problem. If a person has no knowledge of these place then how can rightly obtain it. A example of this would be when taou came out and a party wanted to go to a over crowed colibri camp because they did not know about the crawler camps or puk camps. You cant tell me that you knew where to go the first day in sky, so what make you think some newbie to taou would be able to obtain SP without help.(oh fyi not everyone has the luxury of a computer.)
I am not protecting the gimps barjaratt I'm just more reasonable to see that not everything is gimp and not gimp, and quite frankly offended about the gimps like you statement.

Ironically coming from the guy who's self made title is "Red mage elite"...ha!
I work hard for my gear and everything I do, however that does not mean that I don't understand those less fortunate then I.

The bases for my first post is that people don't even try to help people these they just sit back and laugh and tell them to **** off. That deserve a flame more then a person not having a staggering point.

They can be soloed people really shouldn't need help getting staging points.

My sig was getting old, thanks for fresh material.

They've had a year and a half to get the staging points, they're either lazy or stupid at this point. They've had far more than enough time and the staging points are ridiculously easy to get.

This might be a valid point if it wasn't for the fact that it has absolutely no basis in reality. EVERY 70+ nowadays camp involves one of the staging points. No one wants to go anywhere else, because they give by far the most exp/hour; so it's literally impossible to get to 75 without knowing about them.

A example of this would be when taou came out and a party wanted to go to a over crowed colibri camp because they did not know about the crawler camps or puk camps. No one expected everyone to have every staging point the second ToAU came out, however there were guides to all 5 staging points on the internet the very next day. Hell, people had threads going on QCDN covering where to get some of the staging points the night ToAU came out. When something is brand new, of course no one will know about it; but we're not talking about something new, we're talking about something over a year old that has been reported every since day 1. "Not knowing" isn't an excuse given the wealth of information out there,

(oh fyi not everyone has the luxury of a computer.)
What kind of dumbass pays for internet access without owning a computer? Seriously, how do you manage to come up with these utterly ridiculous "points" to make?

You are defending the gimps. You're letting people slide through the game without the slightest bit of effort and get insulted when anyone shows any kind of standard at all. I'm actually incredibly reasonable when it comes to gimpness, there's just a point where I'm not going to let shit slide. Having standards doesn't make me elitist, especially when they're as lax as they are. Everything could be broken down into gimp and not gimp, though; but there'd be a huge range of not gimp that would cover average, decent, good, great and elite gear/players. It's still a line that could be drawn though.

I work hard for my gear and everything I do, however that does not mean that I don't understand those less fortunate then I.
You're acting like you're unique in that respect. I do understand that some people don't feel the need to buy all HQ gear(I'm one of them, even) or that they can't get certain pieces of gear without any effort; but I expect them to at least put forth an effort. I do not, despite whatever you've twisted in your head to believe, call people gimp lightly(not seriously at least). I reserve that for those who truly deserve the title, for the people who are obviously lacking something very basic and very, very useful that there is no good reason for them to be lacking.

I lol'd.

Hahahahahahaha... I only have 2.

Its not my fault if I can't get them without getting killed.

Oh wait... It is.

I'm proud to say I now have 4 staging points. Azouph Isle, Mamool Ja, Halvung, and what the hell is the fourth one? Nyzul Isle. That one.

That's right. I'm amazing.

If my thread got one person off their taru ass, then it was a success! Good Job Pas, you got the main 4 down at least.
