Me and a few people were discussing this the other day. When is the exact time of death, is it when the mob is killed, or when his body disappears. They both said its when he dies, but I honestly believe its when the body goes.

I did some testing with mee deggi's PH awhile back, noted down the time their body disappeared and each time they popped it was to the second of what I wrote down. Now I'm not sure if normal mobs pop in the same way HNM do, but I would assume so.

In any case, its not a huge difference, considering it only takes like 10 seconds for the body to disappear, but I'd still like to know out of curiosity.

It's when the body disappears. For a sure fire way, the proper tod is when the monster's name drops from wide scan.

You coulda asked me Ice :P

It's definitely when the body/name vanish from the screen. At that very instance is Time of Death.

What they said. Tested extensively with CCC. Body & name disappears.

This is the easiest way to test it, especially since you don't have to actually move or be near whatever you're scanning to see it die (ie camping an nm with a large spawn radius and a PH pops).
