Wanted to start a thread devoted to TGS news and discussing it.

From early news, what I've gotten so far is:

Final Fantasy XII game for the DS. Called FFXII: Reveant Wings (I think, I'll check it shortly) Not much info other than that. Said it has something to do with Vaan and Punello.

Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay demo. Fumatsu, who apparently got treated to it early says its "utterly amazing.".

Ninja Gaiden 2...sorta. Its actully going to be a remake of Ninja Gaiden/Black for the PS3 and 360. New weapons, techniques, ect. You'll also get to play the game as Rachel. Same story as the XBox games with revamped graphics, more storyline and other extras.

Personally I'm waiting on info for Tekken 6 so if anyone sees it please PM me or talk about it here in this thread.

New Tenchu! I love Tenchu. Though, all the info I can find says it's on the 360. It'll probably go to Ps3 later on.

They're always so bad in the controls and such gamewise, but I will never say that I don't own them all and love them soooooooooooooo much. Can't wait for the new one!

Grr...I'm really gonna have to buy a DS again now won't I -_-

Knowing the FFXII sequel for DS it'll end up like X-2, since its being directed by the same person who did that, and knowing SE there will be some Penelo dance minigame.

Or maybe a Penelo massage mini game...

I've been trying to avoid as much about FFXII as I can in terms of talking about it on boards and such, so as not to spoil the storyline and everything. But just looking at the game and the characters, I can fully say that I don't want to use Penelo and Vaan. Are they actually pretty cool ingame or am I right to avoid them just by the small cutscenes and screenshots I've seen?

(Slight derail but its something I've been meaning to ask someone...)

I like em both, and will be using both in the full game, I haven't played the JP version so I wouldn't know how cool they are ingame, but probably will be forced to use them at least a few times throughout the game.

Edit: Slight XII and XII: Revenant Wings spoiler

Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy spin-off for the Nintendo DS, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, is going to be a side-story to Final Fantasy XII. Vaan and his girlfriend Penelo are the featured characters in Revenant Wings, and the game will focus on their relationship, Penelo's dancing skills, and their life as air pirates.

Combat in Revenant Wings will utilize the touch screen, but no further details have been given. In the meantime, here's who is on board for FFXII: Revenant Wings:

Director and Scenario: Motomu Toriyama (Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XIII)
Executive Producer: Akitoshi Kawazu (Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles)
Producer: Yasuhito Watanabe (Drakengard)
Co-Producer: Eisuke Yokoyama (Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King)
Character Design: Ryuma Itou (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance)
Movie Director: Eiji Fujii (Final Fantasy XIII)
Art Supervisor: Isamu Kamikokuryou (Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIII)
Art Director: Toshitaka Matsuda (Final Fantasy X-2)
Composer: Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics), Kenichirou Fukui (Einhander, Front Mission 5)

Guess I'll just have to wait and see then. Penelo just looks like a carbon copy of Rikku, which means I'll want to kick her off the airship 5 minutes after meeting her. Soooooooooooooo, I'll just wait and see.

Well we know that FFXII:RW will look good, sound good and play shitty. lolffx2

In response to the dancing skills thing...I'm losing hope already...

I'm gonna cough up for a PS3. And i won't even feel anyway about it.

I've read other reports on how Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be exclusivly on the Playstation 3. Being an addict and self proclaimed master of Ninja Gaiden black, the trailer for Ninja gaiden Sigma made a tear come to my eye. From what i know of this project being an upgrade to a master peice, they wern't even showing off.

Do keep in mind this game is not for everyone. Due to it's difficulty it's made grown men cry on normal mode.

Because of Ninja Gaiden, God of War sucked for me, and i know i would have liked it alot.

Man, Sigma looks beautiful. However, I still dont see the big deal about Ninja Gaiden, now that we have it as 3-D, its so much simpler then the old 2-D ones... Also, Team Ninja has stated that they're loyal to the 360, and they're making games time-exclusive for it. I suggest that, if you're only buying for Sigma, you wait to see exactly how its retailed before buying a PS3.

You think it's easier than the old 2D Ninja gaiden ?

I have my eye on Killzone II, and that new Metal Gear solid trailer changed my mind about what i think of it.

Above all games so far Ninja Gaiden Sigma for me.I only like 3 exclusive games on the XboX. Ninja Gaiden Black and the Halo's.

Between the 3 consols, Sony truly has more hype for a person like me. I am also interested in the Wii, mainly cause of the controller. Other than that i can't name any of the games that excite me.

Also if Team Ninja is going to make Ninja Gaiden on the 360, it would make more sense for me to get it on the PS3 anyway. At this point i'm under the impression the articles are correct when they say it'll be exclusive on PS3 though. Even if that information is false. PS3 has more games for me.
