Tomorrow A day where PLD once again be on the top! or today... :P

*shrugs* I don't see how it's awkward seeing as how that's our job....

I did some looking the autorefresh gives 1 mp per second idk if I was tripping but I saw 1 mp per second. 1 mp per second = 60 mp per minute paired with refresh and some other things this greatly helps pld. I cant wait ti lvl my 56 pld now. With increased shield proc and blocking more dmg with the tp bonus and auto refresh... yes this is definalty a new day for plds. Nin is still faster xp but plds are faster now ans as far as gods and hnms plds will be alot better now

Nah it's 1 mp/3 sec.

it's probably 1 mp per tic (or 3 seconds as others have said).

Hmmm, so much useless bickering on the general forum ; ; kinda sad. personaly, I'm a 75 PLD with some merits and such. I've seen much change over the years of play. From when PLD's were "THE TANKS!" to when "oh, there's a PLD, but there's also a ninja!" it's not really all that bad. Everyone has there preferances. So xp merit, it just depends on what you want. Many like to cannon merits, which is fine. Others like to use the tride and true party config. Both work, one may work faster, but again. That's play style and preferance.

Personaly, I was chatting with a few friends about the shield block update (oh and to the person who said that blocking wouldn't interupt spells, that's how blocking originaly was >.> before they ever updated PLD). Basicly, I'm looking at it from an Endgame setup. If it blocks considerable damage and consistantly, then it 'may' replace the Earth Staff useage. Granted, Staff in those situations are pretty good, with Spirit Taker and all, but the -20% damage reduction may be only sub par to being able to consistantly block, and gain increased TP for Spirits Within.

Also, on to this age old "Ninja vs PLD" debate.. You know what? both side, cry me a river. Ninja's were whining just as much when they had the Utsusemi fix (it wasn't a nerf, it was making it fare >.>) thus i never complained. I never complain about Ninja's, as I've replaced some in Sky, as well as partied with a few and been back up tanks. I've also played as a Ninja as the soul debuffer/damage dealer with a PLD. It's not to hard, and it's rather stress releaving to be able to just concentrate on ninjitsu and DDing.

Both are fun, and both can work if players are willing to try. I've seen piss poor ninja's and i've seen piss poor PLD's. I've also seen both great at there jobs. Which would I prefer? hmmm, lets go for basic party set up. What are people subbing? do we have a healer or refresher. Do we have someone who can erase or haste. In all honesty, Ninja's require a decent upkeep too. Thiefs are 'almost' required for any xp party for a ninja to maintain hate against other DD's, and also require Haste for any mobs that do AOE slow. PLD's aren't so bad, though they require a better healer, but slow really doesn't effect our job performance as much as Ninja. In some ways, PLD is 'less' upkeep than a ninja. But that's kinda rare to find PLD's that well equiped.

Hmm, but back on topic... I really think the update is more for leveling the field. I don't mind either way about the xp merits and so forth, as personaly I usually just static with my friends. But anything to help out my fellow Paladin brothers and sisters is all good news to me. ^^

I can confirm the auto-refresh is 1mp/tic.

Also can confirm you either get 2x tp for blocking or +2 tp for blocking. Unblocked hits got me 2TP and blocked hits got me 4TP. I haven't tested out the higher block rate and damage reduction yet.

I think SE needs to give us something to help our damage so we're more on-par with nin in that aspect. Not quite as much damage as nin, but enough so that we can add to the damage a bit. I think the main problem is our weaponskills, Vorpal Blade is the most damaging but without a crit or double attack going off the max you'll do is around 400-500ish depending on STR and such. That's with a company sword. With a joyeuse it just sucks lol
