So my roomate and I were bored tonight, and we decided to make a character that looked like Shredder in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Then since we were so bored, we thought "Why not make a Leonardo and have them fight to the death?" The results...

I picked up today Tales of the Abyss and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner at EB. Then I saw the box for MK.

I'm hearing that this MK is a really good game in the series.
I am highly considering on purchasing MK.
I didn't know you can create your own characters which is cool. :-D

Does it have a cheesy/screwed up RPG mode like the last one?
The quests in the previous MK were so F'ed up but hilarious. :-D

There hasn't been a good MK game since MK2. Glad this one seems to have fixed that massive losing streak.

This one does have the Konquest mode. You don't really have to do it, but it gives you a good story that leads up to the tournament, plus you get a lot of Koins playing it to unlock extra moves, accessories, and other things for your Kreate a Character, and extra costumes for the main characters, and other things like concept art.

And as you can see, the Kreate-a-Character mode is very extensive. You can pick from tons of costume accessories, special moves, regular moves, weapon moves, your weapon, etc. I've been working a couple days to perfect my custom character.
