Too much Tenshodo fame?

[Galaika]

Ok, after mining like hell, I ended up with Rank 5 tenshodo fame, not rank 3 like I was expecting (don't ask me how it happened).

I went to Norg to get my mini tuning fork of water for my solo Leviathat fight (the whole point of this exercise) and the apprenice who you get it from ignored me like I didn't have enough fame

Thinking it was odd, I talked to the taru next to him and ended up being given the proper tuning fork of water! Now I have that quest and the apprentice just talks about that one.

Did I get too much fame to get the mini fork? Can I get the mini fork now I have the proper one? If so, how the hell do I get it?

Any help would be appreciated

you dopey >.< why werent you keeping track of all the zinc you were getting? You didnt even need me to buy you any in the end then

Ignore this, I zoned and came back and all was peachy

Fly I was keeping track, I did the quest 39 times. Repeated quests are worht 1/2 the amount of a unique quest, and you need to have 20 unique quests done for rank 3 fame. 1 unique + (19 x 2) repeated = 39 times.

Should have just been enough.

39? ROFL. You only have to do it 20-25 times, I did that and was able to get BOTH Leviathan quests AND all the Ninjutsu.

[Galaika]

I was under the impression that repeated quests counted less than unique ones.

Well I'm not bothered, I got 4 DS ores in the 3 evenings I mined.
