[Actually, I take a really dim view of people ditching planned events to go do other stuff, but a) unforseens do happen, and b) I'm a hornball. As long as the ditching's not a routine thing, meh.]

This has got to sum it up for many, if not all 24/7 FFXI players:

If anyone in my static got laid, I would happily stop exping, because this would be a once in a lifetime event.

Usually my excuse (true) is my mom is screaming her lungs out at me for some unexplained reason, i have to get off before she decides to paint the living room with my jugular vein o_o (shes not fond of the game)

i would say that events in FFXI are just as important as events in rl. in this case its justified, but "hey i have to go and leave you here to die cause i'm gonna randomly watch a movie" is unnacceptable. its a game, but its a game with OTHER PEOPLE. and just because you don't see them face to face doesn't make you any less of an ass when your mean. theier still other people. why is it so few understand that?

i'm also a virgin, so I really have no idea.

I'd like to second Keits's proposal (eww, not that kind of proposal) in saying that both can take place simultaneously.. Especially when your gf is part of your static pt, and has her computer set up 10 feet away in the next room.. Heck she barely has to go afk :lol:

I dunno though. Maybe I am taking it for granted, but I have sex whenever, so...It might have to be something out of the ordinary to pull me away from a PLANNED event.
Then again, I don't think my wife would even try pulling me away from the game when I had something planned for fear of how she would feel about herself upon failing.
Sad, but true.

However, if I don't have anything much going on, and the porno music starts playing, I have no problem logging off and getting all G.I. Joe for a bit. All the Taru and Mithra will have to wait. :lol:
 
ummmm...I have definitely stopped lvling for such reasons....many times :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: FFXI rocks and all, and I truly enjoy playing, but almost ANY RL event would stop me from playing for a bit....
