Travis Barker remixes Soulja Boy - Crank Dat AND IT DOES NOT SUCK

God damn I can't stand hip hop/rap/R&B but that beat with the drums is fucking catchy.

Travis Barker is an amazing drummer and actually made this song into something good.

Man, watching that again makes me really want to buy a new kit. The force he puts behind that is something I have always been afraid to do with mine since it would probably get destroyed. It's not that its a horrible kit, but I have always been a bit hung up on hitting it with the force Travis does. I wonder how much his kit costs and if I could afford it.. lol That is a small set for him too.

I would say for a set like that it's probably top of the line so maybe 750~900. I don't know much about drum kits, but I know they can get quite expensive.

i personally hate soulja boy...he is a fag XD and that song sucks

he made it sound really good

Chills ran through my spine. Damn, what a beast.

i love watching people who put everything they've got into their music

wish they'd play that version on our radio station at work lol

take away the shitty lyrics and monotonic gangsta "singing" and its a solid track i actually sat through the whole thing just listening to the drums i wish i was that good ><;

Not bad. I enjoyed it.

Adding the drums alone wouldn't have cut it, mixing in the guitar/bass lines in the background helped fill it out.

I want to see him do some other songs, because Soulja Boy sings WAY too monotone. It doesn't accent the intensity that Travis Barker has. With a more exciting song I think there could be some sick mixes.

i dont know if you missed some 0's but it would be more like 7,500~9,000 dollars. yes they can get quite expensive.

Yeah, that thing isn't cheap, and I bet he runs through kits like I change underwear. Difference is, he can, because he's Travis Barker.

Actually, I'd imagine he gets alot of his stuff for free.

How about Blink 182s songs?

Yes, they can. Mine was $1200 and is a pretty decent setup, but no where near as solid as his always are.

Heh, that part at like 2:58 where it becomes all silent is pretty hot, and then he brings it back on up.

I actually downloaded the remix off of Limewire the other day, it just doesn't sound as good as the youtube version in this thread because they make it to where the vocals actually overpower the drums.

Sorry, the song still sucks.

Travis Barker's a pretty good drummer though, it's a shame all the bands he's been in are so shitty.
